I'm not putting those child-size grips on. I might order another one of my new pistol grip, though...

Ridge you should re-finish the wood. You know... To make the colors match and all that.

thats one thing thats always bothered me about wood stock set AKs, the subtle wood color differences clash
My friend went to a sporting good store to see the new shipment of nuggets, fucker found a 1917 ex-dragoon for 100bux.
When I was in basic my m-16 didn't jam once, I had a double feed once, but that's because of the shitty old mags we had. Some people's jammed all the time, so I guess it just depends on the rifles.
Someone in my company had an M-16 made by FN, is that common? It broke btw

My whole company had M16A4's that were made by FN.
So I inherited a Remington Model 700 from my grandfather. Its in beaaauutiful shape. He took good care of his things.
However, I got one really really odd gun from him; An elephant gun(branded near the barrel beginning) that is actually a break barrel .177 pellet gun. It has a suppressor looking thingy and some serious oomph to it. Have not shot it yet, will try to this week.
SVT-40 action jammed shut. Solution? Stomp on the charging handle. Flies right open.
Seeing how its a mixed part 98, i don't see the problem. I still have an original German k98. Cheers.
Looks like a Vz24 to me. Staining a stock is bad enough, actually BURNING the stock of a semi-rare to rare rifle is incredibly stupid.
Also, "98" can be a shitload of different rifles.. stop acting like some 80 year old fudd with his "MARRRRLUHN BOUD IN DA FIDDIS".
Anyone know of a good place to get a bent handle bolt body for a 91/30? I've been shopping around on the internet and can't find a good place under 70 USD
yeah bud that's as low as you'll get one

any soviet weapon can be fixed with a swift kick or a hammer.

Is glory of Russian engineering, tovarisch!

I remember reading somewhere that all you need to maintain an AK is a peasant and a rock.
I remember reading somewhere that all you need to maintain an AK is a peasant and a rock.
Albanian AK-47's were shipped with a maintance kit, aka a roll of duct tape :v:
Mine had its cleaning kit stashed neatly into the stock, but I'm told the issued steel borebrush might fuck up the rifling if used too much...
i seriously hope you manage to figure out for yourself what a steel brush might do to the rifling and bore
I've seen some foot on cocking lever insanity with Ak's.

Place AK with buttstock on ground, plant foot on charging handle, slap it down, let it go, suddenly slamfire.
I would not try it, honestly.

Looks a hell of a lot better than what Brodi did
And I thought I butchered my Yugo SKS (Actually I don't care, I think she's fucking sexy)

probably the only non-wood SKS that didn't make me cringe.
Well it was my first rifle so I kinda went nuts on the modifications, still have the original stock and bayonet :)
[...]SarahSKS[...]
Did you seriously name your SKS Sarah?
Well it was my first rifle so I kinda went nuts on the modifications, still have the original stock and bayonet :)
you did a great job with it, at least you didn't ruin the original wood trying to burn stripes into it.
Yes, yes I did
And I actually had a friend of mine do some wood burning on the original:

Here she is the day I got her:

Obviously I removed the wood and the bayonet, I re-blued the metal and did a very light coat of black over everything. The green tigerstripe-like pattern is from duracoat.
I'm going back to Georgia in a few months and plan to get my carry & conceal permit. I really want to get a Sig Sauer P229; apparently they make a wonderful carry gun.
