Both candidates on the debate tonight said they were in favor of banning assault weapons like the AK-47. Hope you can get yours before the prices jump.

Great, that means it's going to be $600 used Yugo SKSes locally like the scare last election.

I just ordered my latest assault weapons before the prices jumped up. Glad I did it too, no telling how bad prices will jump this time.

This means I may have to buy an AR-15 or some other "assault weapon" that isn't an AK-47 before the price jump hits in full swing.

Somehow I'm less worried about Obama than Romney actually...
[editline]16th October 2012[/editline]
But if we could have neither of them I'd be very happy.
Not going to turn this into a political thread, but I'm more worried about Obama than Romney.
I work at a gun store, and we are selling black rifles in insane amounts, like 50+ in less than a week. TONS of ammo too.
don't know about you guys but I'm getting MOLON LABE tattooed on my chest in nice fat bold letters
I'm glad I held on to the AK. Gonna make bank on it next gunshow. It's the weekend before election.
I don't think either of the are a threat to gun owners, but I think Romney is a threat to the planet...
Seriously though, your gun hikes means in a few months our guns will go up too because they'll cost more to import

That's quite worrying
[QUOTE=Zillamaster55;38068452]Personally, the SKS, since they tend to be cheaper and eat cheap food.[/QUOTE]
I GAVE MY SKS A BURRITO AND NOW MY GUN SMELLS WEIRD AFTER FIRING

The Brady announcement was from 2 weeks ago, during the first debate.

It's the same scare we have every election when there's a strong Dem. candidate. Realistically, both current candidates are near identical, and based on passed actions, and the fact that Obama actually expanded our gun rights, while Romney took some away in MA, it's a close call. But I don't want to make this a politics thread
/end politics. Johnson 2012!

Unfortunately, guns and politics are inseparable.
On the other hand, I'm actually considering that molon labe tattoo
I'm kind of curious who the NRA will be backing this election. They most certainly won't want to back Romney I wouldn't think.

My copy of the NRA magazine I got today had a cover saying to vote against Obama, vote for Romney.
That's somewhat ironic I'd say.
The NRA used to recommend candidates based on their stances on gun laws. Now it's just more of a republican shill.
NRA seems to far conservative to actually say to vote for Obama.
Heck, they recommended a Democrat senator in Arizona back in 2008 because he has been pro gun.

Yeah, that's what I've been observing lately. It's unfortunate in my opinion that now even interest groups are playing the party politics even when the candidates don't support their interests. It also seems counter-productive.
[editline]17th October 2012[/editline]
I'm actually kind of surprised that they wouldn't back Gary Johnson. He's the only candidate that actually supports 2nd Amendment rights. It would also start to give a little diversity in the government and help us get out of the party politic nonsense.

The NRA are so deep in the Republicans pockets they will back them no matter what
[editline]17th October 2012[/editline]
Just checked the NRA website, they're backing Romney of course
This is what they described Obama as:
"the biggest threat to our rights in our lifetime."
They're pretty crazy if you ask me

NRA seems to be looking out for republicans than gun owners now-a-days.

I have no doubts that is the case
Maybe the gun manufactures are working with the government, every few years there will be a 'gun rights scare' so sales go up because every cunt thinks oh shit they're taking our guns!, eh?
