should i get an sks? are yugos good? help me out here
I was going to ask the same thing before. Also, I want to get into rifles and shotguns, but don't know what'd be good to start off with. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?
Get a Ruger 10/22 for a rifle and an NEF Single-shot 410 for a shotgun. Those are excellent starting points. As tempting as it may be, I don't recommend starting off with a Nugget or a large-caliber rifle as they aren't really friendly to beginners. Definitely DO NOT get into shotguns with a 12 gauge.
My first shotgun was a 12, I didn't have a problem with it...

Any suggestions?
For a shotgun try finding an H&R Model 121. Just recently found one and they are amazing, with little recoil, easy takedown and cleaning similar to any other bolt-action, but tube fed like most normal shotguns.
So for my next purchase I'm between starting a G3 build or an HK33. Which should I do? I've got a massive hardon for G3s, but the HK33 would be more cost effective, being a .223, therefore cheaper to shoot.

Plus the build is pretty easy. My first build was a CETME built from a really shitty parts kit. Ran flawlessly after working out a couple kinks and it's one of my favorite rifles these days. Just make sure you have a hydraulic press that you can use to press the barrel, you don't want to use anything else. Speaking of builds, my VZ-58 parts kit came in today. Once I get up enough money I'll be ordering a receiver and some 922r parts to help purge the COMMUNISM from the rifle. It's going to be the shit. Gotta get some pics of that and my new French Lebel M1892 revolver that I bought for $165 a few weeks back.
G3 with the wide handguard.
Cool I see G3 parts kits around at local gun shows usually, so that works out. Any idea how the PTR receivers on hkparts.net are? [editline]21st October 2012[/editline]
G3 with the wide handguard.
Tempting, but I couldn't bring myself to go anything but wood furniture.
Newest addition to the family. WASR-10/63m I shot it and fell in love with it. Went through about 200 rounds of Tula yesterday. Not a single problem. Bought it from a gunshop that a very good friend of mine owns and runs. I'm thinking of getting another stock, as the one that's on it (and most other AK pattern rifles) is a bit short for me. They just aren't comfortable. What do y'all suggest?
That is one sexy AK!
D0od I put an AFG on mine, pure gat. I put a UTG foregrip on my Glock 17 before... Was fun to shoot, but I got the stupidest looks at the range. Hip firing was actually kind of fun :v:
Got to be careful doing that unless you want the ATF all over your ass.
That is one sexy AK!
Thank ya kindly, my good sir.
Got to be careful doing that unless you want the ATF all over your ass.
I don't know how you 'muhrricans do it, but in this mountainrange, it doesn't count as a weapon part unless you need a tool to add it/remove it. And call me crazy, but isn't there atleast one of those grips you don't need a tool for?
Would I be drawn and quartered if I put an adjustable stock on my WASR? It would simply be for the sake of comfort and convenience. But, I can't find a mill-spec "buffer tube" anywhere, and I really don't want to have to use a commercial one.

If it's the US, as long as you keep it 922r compliant, I doubt it will cause a problem. If you just want a collapsible butstock, I don't see why this one wouldn't work.
My first shotgun was a 12, I didn't have a problem with it...
Mine was too, I only said not to start with one because everyone I know said I was the only person who'd ever learn shotguns on a 12. Clearly they were wrong.

For some reason Yugoslavian SKS's look so much better than other SKS's.
My local shop just put out 2 Chinese SKS' for $250/e. At that price I can't say no, even if they are Chinaguk.
Hey guys, what are your opinions on the assault weapon ban coming up? I think its a really good idea
Hey guys, what are your opinions on the assault weapon ban coming up? I think its a really good idea
Absolutely. That means my preban baby killers will be worth a fortune.
Hey do any of you guys know where I can find a CAD assembly of a rifle? Preferably an AR-15 but any rifle would work. Most of the ones I find either don't have the internals modeled, or only include cad files of the parts that you would machine, without all of the springs and pins. I'm trying to find one that has everything so I can look inside and learn how the internals work. I'm hoping that if I have a good grasp of it and some free time I might design my own gun, and after that, I just gotta get enough money for raw metal so I can machine it at my schools machine shop. Anyways, if you guys have any Idea where to find some CAD files, help would be appreciated.
Hey guys, what are your opinions on the assault weapon ban coming up? I think its a really good idea
I think its bad. what they need to do us put a stop on the sale of babykilling 7.62 and 5.56, and restrict sales of the copkiller variants.
