That is the stupidest reason ever. People buy so much stupid shit they don't "need", like jewelry, nice clothes, too much food, fast cars, tablet computers, etc.
At least in australia you have animals that might be dangerous if you like spending time in the nature for longer periods of time and plenty of things to hunt.
The most dangerous animals we have in Denmark are bees and somewhat poisonus snakes. Maybe you will even see a slightly distressed looking fox if you are really unlucky, but it certainly won't maul you badly.
All animals such as Boars, Hogs, Elks, Bears and Wolves are now completely extinct here because they were hunted to extinction over a hundred years ago and now they have been removed from the list of species natural to our nature, which gives every hunter the right to shoot them on sight if spotted in Denmark, so they won't ever come back.

Did you know that while a 40 mm grenade is illegal in new york, a 37mm grenade is not? The grenades are even classified as flares!

And in Canada, most projectile launchers over 20mm in diameter are out of the scope of the Firearms Act, and there are people who have M203 grenade launchers and Bazookas. I once saw a dealer selling a Bazooka, and it had dummy rounds too, he got $2500. It apparently was a non-restricted firearm.
There was also a Toronto high school who got donated a Sherman tank for their shop class. I'm unsure if the cannon still worked or not, probably not.

Because the rifle is easier to get, cheaper to shoot, and easier to shoot. It also draws less heads of police officers if you just leave it in the back seat when you're driving somewhere. Even if a Bazooka is legal, you can't expect a cop to know that, and you'd be all over the news about it.

For the first time in a long time, I actually had fun at the range. Normally shooting 308 or .30 carbine. And I'm always worrying about the cost or scarcity of ammunition for it.
But taking the AK out and going through 12 mags, not even a care in the world. It was great! Knowing this ammunition, while not exactly plentiful, is still cheap. And knowing that even though I brought a few hundred rounds with me, I've still got several hundred more just sitting back at home.
For the first time in a while, it was actually just relaxing and fun to go blast for 2 and a half hours.

well speaking of 5.45, im hopefully getting a job real soon and after i fix up the bumper of my car, im still very torn between getting a cetme or a ak74. i kind of want something that isnt slavshit for once but 5.45 is so cheap and the rifle itself isnt too expensive either
but the cetme is nato gun which will be a nice change and its fun shooting a larger caliber but .308 is expensive and the gun is as well

All the tins of 308 I've gotten have come from pakistan. Dirty as hell too
Going to a gun show in Florida this weekend, hopefully I can find some guns that aren't overpriced cause of the election.
