I don't want shit. Simple as that. You don't have to have a tack driver for self defense but it sure as hell isn't going to hurt, and when a reliable tack driver isn't any more expensive than your suggested alternative then it would be stupid not to take the better gun
I wouldn't call a handgun that does sub 3" groupings at 25yds. and reliably served in the hands of soldiers for over 70 years in absolutely abysmal conditions, which are infinitely worse than anything you deal with in your life, shit.
that's wonderful but I'll go ahead and take the better gun for the same price. just because a gun is combat proven doesn't mean it's better, and honestly a non-GI 1911 isn't any less combat proven than a GI one as far as I'm concerned
I don't see how you can consider a commercial 1911 is combat proven when:
a) It's never been in combat conditions
b) They're not made the same way, and in some case not to the same specs

Yeah, but I bet a lot of things would be fixed if we didn't use FPTP. I wouldn't mind seeing Canada at least attempt to use preferential voting. Once I get my Scout we should head out shooting and make fun of everyone who doesnt have a shooting buddy from FP.

Also, if we didn't use FPTP we'd actually be worse off, the Tories only got 36% popular, despite taking 60-something% of the ridings. It means the LGR would likely still be here, as they wouldn't have had the manpower to eliminate it, and it also means we'd never get any other favours thrown our way.

I've not really gone out shooting much (evident by my lack of gun) so if you had places you knew where to shoot that would be very handy information.
