On the topic of scandinavian firearms restrictions, isn't Norway pretty liberal about this stuff though? I mean, Prusselusken seems to have his fair share of firearms, unless I've misunderstood.

Man, I miss that asshole. :v:
IIRC, you can have up to 5 rifles, 10 pistols, or a combination of 8, and most semi-auto rifles are banned, with talks of banning even more after the massacre. You can have up to 5000 rounds of ammo, unless you're a cartridge collector, then you can have more, but it has to be of all different types of calibres, and you can get a firearms collector's license that allows you to own any gun and as many of them as you want.
I know there's at least 1 other Norwegian here, feel free to correct my mistakes.
Okay, I have to ask, how big of a guy is your dad? Reason I ask is, P220 is a rather large pistol for conceal carry, unless you are shoulder holstering it. I'm a pretty stout fellow myself, 6'2" 220, and I have a hard time concealing a full-size 1911. My buddy has a P220, and it's pretty much the same size as the 1911, but bigger in some places, like height. The P220 is about half an inch taller than my 1911s, and that's the main measurement that matters when you conceal.
Oh well, to each his own I guess. I switched from a Glock 30SF to a Springfield XDS because I thought the Glock was too large, lol.
I carry a full size Glock 22 with no problems. I'm smaller than you, about 5'10" and somewhere between 180 and 200. It's all about personal tolerances and how loose your clothes are
Oh shit, I just got my cheque cashed and the LGS is closed for the lolhurricane coming.
Any ideas on what to get when they reopen Thursday? I was going to get a Chinese SKS, AR-7 and the rest is gun food.

How much does a Glock 17 cost in Norway? A used one here in Sweden goes for about 1000-1200 USD

Nah, I was going to keep it stock.
My other alternative to buying a Chinese SKS was maybe a M48.

poor bastard, my glock 22 with it's 3 15 round mags cost $700 during the assault weapons ban

He's a pretty big dude. He's six feet tall and 200 something pounds. He and I both find it easy to conceal a 1911, so a P220 won't be an issue.

In other news, I am proud to announce that we have gotten the Springfield 1903 BACK into a fire-able condition!

Fuck if I know, I'm Canadian. Ask a Norwegian, who can actually speak the language all their gun websites will be in.
Also, if you can't get a handgun in Sweden, why do you know the prices for them? Or is it like the bans here where if you had it pre-ban you can still have it (God that model is retarded and discriminatory).
As for Canada, a brand-new Glock 17 Gen 3 is $669.95 plus taxes, shipping, and handling.

When I said "...at least one other Norwegian..." I meant other than Prussel, who they were talking about. Camping Carl, I think, is the other one from Norwegia.

Okey sorry, i got the impression that you were norwegian.. Of course you CAN get a handgun, but it's not something a regular person does.

And that's the problem. The more people own them, the less there will be such a mentality, and the less that mentality exists, the less likely it is that restrictive laws will come into place.

And what i don't get is why it's so tabu, if i'd tell someone I would love to have some guns just to shoot for fun they would give me some crazy looks. And the people that actually get ahold of guns easy is the criminals..

It's the media. It's the same thing here, "Guns are bad, mmkay? And if you want a gun, you're a psychopath, mmkay?" The media have been pushing an incredibly anti-gun agenda here since the massacre in Montreal in 1989, and the effect is there's about 2 generations of people who, if they didn't grow up in a gun-owning or military family, are afraid of guns and associate them only with psychopathy and criminality.
I actually think video games featuring guns in them are a good thing, I think it's actually helped people get over the "guns R bad" stigma, a lot of people I talk to my age express a disdain for the atrocious gun laws here, a fascination with my employment selling guns, and many a desire to own guns themselves, as well as a desire to be able to carry said guns for self-defence, something that is not illegal, but is so hard to get the permit for it may as well be. The complaints they always have is the bullshit they have to go through, how stupid the restrictions on pistols are, and that they have no idea who to talk to or where to go to go shooting or get the license. Basically, to get into shooting in Canada, you have to know someone who is already into shooting. I only know of 1 range that will allow people to "rent" guns in the whole province of Ontario if they just decide one day they want to go shooting, and the membership to their club if they get into shooting is bloody expensive. It also doesn't help that for people in Toronto who want to get a gun, they have to travel an hour in any given direction to find a range, because city council said gun ranges are a "public safety risk" and banned them from city limits, except the 2 already in operation, and those 2 have dumb extra restrictions, seldom take members, and are hard to find out about or locate.
I always saw violent media like TV, movies, and videogames as detrimental to gun rights.
Depends. I think the military-style shooters aren't, but things like GTA maybe.
I always saw violent media like TV, movies, and videogames as detrimental to gun rights.
I guess it depends if people and politicians are gullible enough to take it seriously or not. Kinda like how shitty car movies like fast and furious don't really do anything to affect car owner's rights.
Depends. I think the military-style shooters aren't, but things like GTA maybe.
that's the sort of thing I was thinking. I can't imagine any game where you go around and kill cops as being good for guns
I guess it depends if people and politicians are gullible enough to take it seriously or not. Kinda like how shitty car movies like fast and furious don't really do anything to affect car owner's rights.
That's because EVERYBODY owns a car. Relatively few people own guns. They are seen as a niche thing. No politician would be stupid enough to attempt to regulate cars. Especially with groups like the auto unions filling their pockets.
Has Classic Firearms ever carried SKS rifles or any of their gear? They seem to be out of everything except for super-cheap Wolf ammunition (yummy).

I'll post pictures of my pulped face if it does! :v:
I cracked the stock on an old .22 rifle because I had the cleaning brush stuck in it, and I was shaking it up and down, and it finally broke free, and the rifle fell a foot or so and fractured at the wrist. I wood glued it, and since it's only a .22 its just fine. (H&R bolt .22, no loss anyway :v:) I also was spraying break-free solvent from a compressed can into the receiver of the same rifle, and it all sprayed back into my open eyes. That rifle was so dirty when I got it, you had to put it on safe when you pulled the bolt back, and put it on fire when you pushed forward for it to work 100% of the time. Only after a couple months of use, I stripped it completely and soaked it in cleaner, and now it works perfect every time without the safety issue.

California? Nothing above 10 rounds and probably has a bullet button. Also no pistol grip...
Three dildos?
