I wouldn't blame your dyslexia. It's just a little known error that most people make that somewhat irks me.
Went to the gun store and asked to shoot a 1911, feels sorta toyish is there anything slightly bigger?
HK USP 45

Call me when toy get a gun designed specifically to shoot 2x4s or steel girders. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] And it was coined in France, not an English country.

[QUOTE=Sir Spicy Buns;38301221]Went to the gun store and asked to shoot a 1911, feels sorta toyish is there anything slightly bigger?[/QUOTE] you could try and find one in 10mm, or you can look at some revolvers.

Does anyone know if Illinois has strict or lax gun laws? Long story short, I'm in college here in Florida and lived here forever but my family might have to take a job in Chicago
[QUOTE=NuclearAnnhilation;38304006]Does anyone know if Illinois has strict or lax gun laws? Long story short, I'm in college here in Florida and lived here forever but my family might have to take a job in Chicago[/QUOTE] IIRC, it has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
[QUOTE=NuclearAnnhilation;38304006]Does anyone know if Illinois has strict or lax gun laws? We are just barely below California.
Kinda a suggestion Nuclear: Tell your family members to look for work in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. All three of them are rolling in money and jobs thanks to the Oil Boom from the Bakkens, and all three of them are extremely laxed with gun laws[North/South Dakota having laws which state they will not enact gun-laws over the Federal Laws and Montana fighting to allow suppressors to be made locally inside of their state to bypass federal law.]
thanks for the suggestions but that'll probably never happen. chicago just happens to be where my dad got an offer for the specific field he works in (managing medical supplies or something, i dont even know) and ironically enough the other job offer is in california this is just whats on the table right now but chicago looks very promising. my dads been out of work for months now since he got laid off and we'd all rather stay in florida since we've been here since 1999 but he needs a job bad oh and the gun thing is just for my benefit, im the only one who owns guns in my family, they dont care about gun laws
[QUOTE=Zillamaster55;38304396]Illinois is the worst place for gun laws. We are just barely below California.[/QUOTE] Dude, Illinois requires FOIDs to buy guns. Terrible state that's right next door to me.
ffs really? fuck Illinois [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] chicagos a cool city but come on
[QUOTE=NuclearAnnhilation;38304006]Does anyone know if Illinois has strict or lax gun laws? My suggestion is you get out of there while you still can
thinking of a more practical standpoint is my schooling. the state of florida is paying my tuition, what if they move, will i still have my funds? if my parents move to chicagos, theres a good chance ill just stay here though

[editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] Not to mention that some of my friends are scared because I own a gun.

Was born and raised in Chicago-land, Illinois. It was a BIG fucking relief to move to New Mexico and drive 30 minutes in any direction outside Albuquerque and to be able to shoot anything you want in the desert.
Makin progress on that Flintlock. Here starts the careful process of sinking the lock plate into the wood: [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/1m7hd[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/1m7i8[/img_thumb] The lines you see were cut with a pen knife, keeps the wood from tearing and acts as a guide. I used a carbide end mill at 2800 rpm to cut out both recesses here.

[QUOTE=Death King83;38307002]This gon be good. Any progress or new ideas for the AR stock set build?[/QUOTE] Yeah I just need to find a good metal buttplate to use, either without a door in it or a door low enough that it doesn't affect the buffer tube. The Springfield and Garand doors are all too high, but a Lee-Enfield buttplate might work, and the brass would be interesting, I intend to replace the adjustment lever with a brass plate as well.

[editline]4th November 2012[/editline] Also, everyone, I've been lurking the thread forever, and the last two for that matter. Should I post a Family Photo? Also, big Fort Worth, TX Gunshow tomorrow, so you'll know where I'll be!
Family photos are always encouraged, if you want to post them!
