I've been trying, turns out you can only make the background a tiny range of colours, but the text background and text can be anything
The only other way is to have a background image in that colour, but then you can't have boot text, so they have to be in the image. Meaning shit would get stretched out on the wrong resolution

I did this a while ago using an old version of my avatar. I followed some instructions to make sure I didnt do anything wrong, and the next day windows was telling me that I had to load from backup because files were corrupt.

I also changed the wallpaper to my win7 login screen because my laptop has terribly designed ACER wallpaper for that. Also decided to had to restore to a backup.
