also, since apples can be traced back to Adam and Eve committing a sin by eating an apple that a snake told them to eat, if I eat an apple, I'm committing a sin? and if I have a snake pet, then that snake is inadvertently the devil in some way or form. Oh and does that mean that Apple computers our somehow a way of worshiping the devil?

I'm surprised he didn't talk about Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. That has actual references to the garden of eden that are supposed to be there (Snake tempts Eva who betrays Adam(Ocelot) etc)

The bible never actually states what the fruit is, it's just referred to as the "forbidden fruit." It's also likely it could be a pomegranate, a fig, carob, etrog, citron, pear or a datura.

The concept of it being an apple is due to "Malum" being misunderstood as translating to "apple" (which it does, but it also translates to evil) and because the Greek myth of Heracles featured the Apple of Discord which, long story short, caused some Greek Gods to fight over it, thus insinuating the Apple as evil.

Just like the bible never even says that the Devil was the Snake. It's been inferred by hundreds of years of study, and by an attempt to make the Old and New testament more coherent (since the Devil is barely even in the Old Testament, but has a quite large role in the New Testament)
