There was a case not too long ago where the RIAA's arbitrary value per song was $650,000 USD. Due to the absurd number, the judge in the trial capped them at charging for 20 of her 100 downloaded songs, making her trial worth $130,000,000.
Not that they ever expected her to pay that amount, in fact the whole point is to send people to jail.
For sure, I gave credit in the description. But I also disputed, and sure enough, my cover is 100% public! It only took about an hour. I'm honestly surprised this worked so smoothly. I'm going to go through my covers and properly credit each band, and each label. Never hurts to be too safe. Thanks again.
They put it back up for a while but that doesn't mean they'll come back and take it down entirely. That has happened before.

And that's the RIAA's logic for you.
Suing to keep their executive positions and pay the artists they represent god damn near nothing for the trouble they put people through.

I guess, but it's a good start. I'm not worried about getting sued, I just don't want my covers removed. I really doubt I'd get specifically targeted for using their song, considering how many covers are out there. Between all the people I've met on Youtube, I've never once heard of a record label deleting every video containing a certain song on it. So unless new laws provoke them to get picky about their songs, I should be alright. I'll just pick songs that aren't as mainstream, I believe BMTH is on a huge record label that would get pretty anal about their songs.
And if worst comes to worst, I've been considering switching to full band covers, where I just record all the instruments over again with my own software, and leave out the vocals. I doubt they'd catch onto that and even if they do, I'm technically not using their song :D
I was finally able to see it, good job man.
lol your picking technique is horrendous
and this band/song sucks
Everyone develops own style that is the truth.
