They made one for the M60 in Vietnam. Of course, it didn't make it any quieter, but it reduced the muzzle flash enough for the user to actually keep an accurate sight on the target.

Its a ballistic face mask. Only given gunners of Choppers / Tanks.
Reason being: Cant shoulder the weapon properly.

It shoots a 5.56 MM NATO round. Pretty much the size of a AA battery.
The M60 shot the 7.62 MM
