Wow, some great pics there. Thanks for posting them.
All people who are in the military are idiots. Think of it. Put 5,000 guys together with guns, who'll follow orders of some person who's in charge, and suddenly all that power is at the hands of who ever gives the orders. They don't know what they're contributing to. If there were no military, it would only be a bunch of old men with no one to do their dirty work for them.
say that to the face of the millions of people in the world's various militaries (you'd die)
If he said that to FIVE people in the military he'd die. A military is essential to protecting your nation, that's as simple as it gets. As long as there is someone out there who hates your country, or has reason to take from it, you need a military. Simply put, Otsegolation, if your country didn't have a country, you'd probably either be dead or wouldn't exist in the first place. Truth.

I disagree with what you're saying though, the military provides many jobs and privileges to people that would not have those things otherwise. Besides, people would kill each other even if no military existed. Some people would form an organised army in the pursuit of power/resources/shit and then conquer the rest of the people, thats just how humanity works.

It is the most efficient way to get things done. Leadership is never a bunch of old men who want their dirty work done for them - in the military, it's designed to be flexible and efficient... orders come down from the top, they get assessed and assigned, people complete the tasks and if they can't be completed or they don't think it's a good idea, then that news goes back up. Guess what? There is a reason why companies, schools, organizations, governments, and the military runs this way. Think about it...

You could buy a UK road-legal T-72 for about £30k a couple of years ago, good condition etc. I'm not sure what the prices are like these days but that seems like a fucking bargain if you ask me.
shit's legit
Owning armoured vehicles in the UK is actually quite common, vehicles such as Ferrets, M3 Halftracks, Scimitars, Abbots, and FV432's are all easy to get, very popular, and cost about the same, if not less than a new family car, and many of them can even be driven on a normal UK drivers licence.
I saw some BMP-2s for about £5k about 4 years ago aswell.
