I wasn't ever really sure about this. I mean, if you start with the [b]exact[/b] same conditions, atom for atom, wouldn't you always get the same result? Unless there's some strange quirk of quantum mechanics or something like that, I can't see how it could be otherwise.

There are quantum events which are purely random.
For example, radioactive decay:

There isn't but my point is that it's legitimate, it is the popular theory, and I don't see anyone else testing its predictions with an $18 billion piece of machinery.
