Maybe there are other filters for such perk to be triggered, such as minimum amount of combined total upload views and/or join date
I have a video with 100,000 views and a join date of 08, no message. Maybe it's going out to people that haven't uploaded in a while or been active, you know, to spur activity?
I read on that forum link that it's for people who have a good track record for following copyright and community guidelines. Also the notification pops up on the Upload screen not the homepage.
My channel got this, I hope that's not a glitch Also, I got like 8/9 copyright notifications (as in, the stuff that automatically places ads for the music companies next to your videos), but no "violations" so I think they don't actually matter
Whoopedy doo. Youtube has become so bad I can't even upload a 290mb video in under 3 hours. That's pathetic, it spends nearly 40-50 seconds per megabyte. If I wanted a 15 minute video in HD it'd probably need to upload for at least 15 days.

Registered since 2006, nothing. Is it supposed to show up on the front page? And it's unbelievable, watching a 480p video takes about 15m to load for a music video, uploading a 300mb video takes about 10 seconds. Typical I get this after spending nearly 2 hours uploading a 15 minute and 12 second video yesterday and being refused it due it being "too long".
got a strike for uploading suprised kitty last december guess im not getting it ... Like that is something to claim copyright on
Hmm, can't tell, I have a directors account which has allowed 15mins+ anyway.
Well you aren't A+ either, you arse.
Look at the pot call the kettle black.
uploading 300mb video takes about 10 seconds.
Fucking envy.
This is awesome!
I remember when they upgraded to 15 minutes, and I was like "I'm never gonna make anything that's more than 10 minutes at least!" Then I see this message today. Eh, never know, maybe I will need it?
I have a copyright strike on my account from 3 years ago or so, so I won't be getting this feature I guess.
Create a new one then link the channels together P.S I love YOUOOOOO,YOU ARE THE BEST EVER P.S.S What was your website? [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] Youtube is getting ready to roll out unlimited length video uploads to all non partners that have no abuse strikes against them and that play by the rules. This is about time! Been a long time coming! They can now do this because the kinks were worked out of the technology infrastructure to be able to flag abusive channels on the fly, I think. When you upload a video and get the notification: 'Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes. Click the Upload button below to select a video.' This means your switch was thrown and you can now upload videos of any length and up to 20 GB in size. [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] Youtube is rolling this out in waves, you just have to wait your turn to get your "switch" thrown, only if you have no violations against you and you have been playing by the rules.
Does Copyright in good standing mean i will be getting it also? [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] I did get two copyright things, sound recording.
Does Copyright in good standing mean i will be getting it also? [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] I did get two copyright things, sound recording.
I got a copyright notice from EA games about a Crysis trailer I uploaded 2 years ago, thank god I deleted it. My account went back to good standing. Not that I hate EA or anything, it was just weird that they strike me with copyright, so I decided if they want to be assholes and profit off of what I uploaded (even though it was theirs) and give me a strike for copyright, may as well delete it so they don't even get anything out of it. :v: But when I deleted it, my account went back into good standing.
I also never got strikes. [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] AutoMerge breaker.
Goddamnit, not for me I guess. It's because of that ONE tiny copyright notice for using some music and thus the video is unable to watch from Germany
Well shit i have 5 videos with copyright shit. And one of them has 25k views.
Apparently I can upload videos longer than 15 minutes but up to 15 minutes. I got a copyright notice, but it was a really small video and had like no views so I took it down.
I have 2 copyright strikes but i still got the message that i can upload videos longer than 15 minutes.
I have two strikes on copyright, but i got the feature. :buddy:
So what do you guys make videos of? I can't find one single fucking thing to dedicate myself to.
I have a copyright strike on my account from 3 years ago or so, so I won't be getting this feature I guess.
Same, I tried uploading a 50 second clip from a Fox show around 2-3 years ago and it got pulled. May as well be free advertising for them, but apparently it's a fucking travesty. This is bullshit.
Yay I got long uploads too [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] and I have a copyright strike
My account history is crystal and has videos, I don't have shit :(
4 copyright strikes and still got this kickass
I BET THE ANONS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. :argh:
It's them electronic terrorists! :argh:
