He's being pulled in by cosmetics, I don't know what's happening :v:
That's very nice actually.
Why I'm not buying it though:
Multiplayer will die in a year
60€ for a singleplayer game isn't worth it, especially the singleplayer of a cod game, despite how good it is
But I'll give them that. It's very interesting and nicely set up now.
From what I've played so far I don't think this will be dead for a long time.
i think he's also eating doritos
oh god
just heard him say he's eating "the real mccoy crisps"
crisis averted
BLOOD ON SCREEN SO REAL!
I think this text on the screen is annoying, "you are hurt get to cover" but I guess you can toggle that off too.
Some of the tricks they use to raise FPS and reduce load are pretty clever.

I'm interested to see what "paintball effects" are.
that is definitely one nice water bottle

What I'd do for a paintball mode like in World at War.
What I'd do for a paintball mode like in World at War.
The Wii version of CoD4 had Paintball Mode instead of Ragtime Warfare.
A lot of these options are holdovers from the engine they have been using since 1.
I read that this is running on a brand new engine build in house at Sledgehammer.
Also, at least on the PS4, reflections are screen space, so sometimes you'll see the reflection of your Gun in water that is like 20 feet away.
I still hate that seemingly all PC games use a bar for sensitivity these days. It doesn't mean anything to me. Not that a number does, but being able to set it to a number in-game means I don't have to root through text files to change it.
Ideally they should have the bar and an input box on the side for you to customize it numerically.
I like at the end of the video when he realizes he can read the texture on a water bottle :v:

I always thought when they did that in parodies it was just comedic exaggeration. I didn't know it actually did that in game.

IIRC, that only pops up in the lowest difficulty and in the first couple of levels, or so.
Though I also recall it loved to pop up all the time in MW2 for no reason whatsoever

YOU ARE HURT GET TO COVER appears in pretty much every game starting with CoD2, every time you're seriously injured in singleplayer. I don't think it's ever been toggleable, ever. I don't think it even shows up in multiplayer though.
Personally I'd prefer a sort of "dedicated heal" where you had to hold down a button to regen, kind of like how Shadow Warrior did it, but that's just me.
Hell they could have kept that kind of regenerating health and slapped on an armour system to encourage scavenging and whatnot, since usually you take less damage overall if you have a higher armour rating in games. As your armour is worn away, you'd end up taking more damage per hit before you have to duck and cover, encouraging you to try and get your armour back up.
In the context of Advanced Warfare, they could easily have aped Half-Life's take on the armour system and had it be based on charging up your suit power from batteries or power outlets. But I haven't seen much of Advanced Warfare to know if they've done anything of the sort, though I've heard they've got shields of some description so there's that.

what i do is measure the distance on my mousepad it takes me to do a 360 degree turn in CS:GO (a game with definite sensitivity that i'm more than used to) and match that with the bar in other games
if you do it right, it should be perfect given you turn acceleration off

Podcast happening, you guys!
In other news, Dawngate is apaprently getting cancelled, and TB will probably talk about Advanced Warfare.
Wait crap, wrong thread.
Pretty damn good port job. I still reckon I'll hate the game, but credit where credit is due.

I'm more a fan of a regenerating shield + health that requires medkits to heal. Best of both worlds.

Or a set level to where your health can regenerate, with health packs that allow you to go over said level.
Like the health system in Wolfenstein: New Order?

That's pretty much where I took the idea from yeah. :eng101:
