Woman gets pregnant with brainless baby, has it anyway

I've died before.
True story.
Oh sweet invicible guy near space, where's the e-mail of this woman? I need to ask a question from her.
The baby would have been only slightly less intelligent than the average American, had it survived.
oh great now the American jokes. I've seen some pretty stupid Brits, French and German people.
Yeah, but I saved my dog who seemed to be in paralysis.
I'm pretty sure that baby is beyond saving.
SEROUSLY:
Were the fuck did the brain go?
So, this condition would be slightly similar to being brain dead?
My uncle died of a brain hemorrhage, it was so depressing seeing him.. lying there, motionless. Damn hospital had to turn the machine off :frown:
This can be a metaphor for having fish, they can't do anything with themselves except eat and all the essential things... wait, does that thing even move?
Jesus Christ stupid cunt, let the poor thing die.
i was eating pizza when i clicked the google link
I still am
SEROUSLY:

It never developed, generally.
Wait, so it has no brain, and it's alive? What tells the heart to beat, the lungs to breath, and everything else?
It doesn't have a complete brain. Like, the impulses are there, but no conscious thought. Like a plant, perhaps.
Seriously does anyone know any contact information?

oh a vegetable perhaps?
These things are incredibly interesting, I've seen all the images the thread had to offer.
Foolishly thinking I was immune to all shock pictures, these are really disturbing.
oh a vegetable perhaps?
P'rhaps.
What.. the.. fuck.
I can just about understand her trying to be moral by keeping it.
But it's barely alive?! Surely the morality backfires by keeping an abomination alive. People amaze me.
Sometimes people shouldn't be allowed to choose. Here for example they should have killed/aborted the baby with or without her consent. I'd charge her with torture on an infant.
I really hope you're trolling. I don't have kids, but plan to, but I know from pets and I'm sure that you know from special pets that they are like children to you, and that you would do anything for them to continue living happily. It says that she is alive and fine, and not suffering either. She's not torturing a baby.
"Hurrrrrr, lets kill everyone with a bad disability, they are being tortured by being let live."
DIE VILE DEMON! Man that's just sick and wrong to keep that baby alive. I mean, that's worse than a retarded person.
These images don't disgust me in the slightest but I think keeping the baby alive is more unhealthy for the mother than the baby, the baby is unconcious and doesn't feel or know anything while the mother has an unhealthy state of mind for not realising that the baby might as well already be dead because it wouldn't be any different.
I think the internet is desensitising me to this sort of thing though.

The entire brain is exposed.
Thanks for the media tag, I was wondering about what the brain was really supposed to be. I think that the thread title is misleading, the babies HAVE brains they just are exposed. I wasn't really sure what I was looking at when I saw the google pics.

Hey genius, euthanasia can be beneficial. If you have a terminal illness and will die in less than a day and are in great pain, wouldn't you take it?

I agree with the not-disgusted part, but the baby is alive and functional. It's not like it's a vegetable. Check out the pic that I replied to in my above post, the babies HAVE brains, they are just exposed and therefore more vulnerable.

Yes, but shouldn't you have a choice? The blog said that she was in no pain and not suffering at all.

And lacking major functions. Don't forget that.

That's not the point though is it. It's not like the baby will continue to grow and have a chance at life. It will die, and in the mean-time that it's alive the humanity of it diminishes.
People who are able to stand the pictures of this baby would make great surgeons.
It doesnt bother me :c00l:
but i have shaky hands too :frown:
christian bitch

Only somewhat.
Children with this disorder are born without a forebrain, the largest part of the brain consisting mainly of the cerebral hemispheres (which include the isocortex, which is responsible for higher level cognition, i.e., thinking). The remaining brain tissue is often exposed—not covered by bone or skin.
It's functional yes and it is also alive but it is not living.
I do not consider living to be merely breathing and eating, the baby can't think, it can't act, it can't feel.
Also I wouldn't trust the words of that woman.
I'm all for keeping people with disabilities and disorders alive because they can still live but I do not agree with this, the baby won't be living life it will just be a doll.
i found it really touching
