Just because there are nearly no Glock 18 in America, and because they are expensive does not mean it is bullshit. America has already fucked the world enough. Why are Glock 18's rare in America? Example: Would you find a SCAR-H in India?
No you wouldn't, and that's a fucking terrible analogy. It smells like bullshit because I highly doubt someone would be posting on the open internet that he is planning to buy an unregistered, automatic firearm from an illegal alley stand. I've had experiences with illegal firearms before, the difference is, my shit happened in the past-tense. I'm not a dumbass who is announcing his plans over an open source to buy an illegal firearm.
Yes they will, are you on crack?
LOL Have those rounds, didnt fire them yet though. If i am correct, that is snakeshot...
Another question - Anybody know what I should pay for a decent condition SMLE that hasn't been sporterised? I know there are a few Aussie gun owners that have posted in this thread before.
$200-$400 as Bean-O said. Indian ones are the most common, and Enfield 2As in 7.62 NATO are a bit cheaper. I suggest getting a WW1 dated No I Mk III*, they're cheap and have the most history, typically 1916-1918 are the most common.
LOL Have those rounds, didnt fire them yet though. If i am correct, that is snakeshot...
It's also real handy for killing mice indoors. It won't really mess up your house or anything. Just don't shoot paneling or drywall.
I'd go for the spas, but really it's a waste of money. Just get an 870 or a 500, both will serve you better in the long run. If my sagia wasn't so desirable right now I'd ditch it for one.
I have both already actually, now Im looking for something a little more unique. As for 50$ mags, not too worried. Money isn't too much of an issue at the moment, worst comes to worst, I have a shitload of airsoft gear I can sell. Plus I would probably only buy 2 or 3 extra mags.

They are no longer imported and the price can only go up as there are less and less working models available on the secondhand market.
22k views? Holy shat.
I need to buy a damned nagant just so I can own an actual rifle that isn't a .22LR.
I need to buy a damned nagant just so I can own an actual rifle that isn't a .22LR.
Been there, done that. Don't be in too much of a rush. Wait for an opportunity to get one in good shape for under 80 bucks.
Added some more stuff to the OP.
I need to buy a damned nagant just so I can own an actual rifle that isn't a .22LR.
There's plenty of nice Nagants out there, and a lot of people just don't know what they're selling. I picked up a Swedish Mauser in perfect condition with a bit of surplus 6.5x55mm ammo for $300, the rifle is worth around $500 as it is now especially since it was a match rifle. So read up on the history a bit and you may get lucky. As for Swedish Mausers, if you ever get a chance to buy one, DO. You won't regret it, the only downside to these rifles is 6.5x55mm is hard to get cheaply. However, the craftsmanship, accuracy and function is the best you will ever find in a bolt action rifle. The bolt also cocks on closing like a Lee-Enfield so you aren't fighting against the spring to open it like with a German style Mauser. It's worth noting that in international service rifle matches of the time, the best scores were shot not with a US Springfield, a British Lee-Enfield or a German Gewehr 98, but the Swedish M96.
I need to get a new gun for under 300 AUD (Australian dollars) i have looked at .303 Enfields and .22's but i really want a .357 or .44 leaver action rifle.
Man, I really would care for a pistol. Too bad finland is so butthurt about them. Only weapons I could get are hunting rifles and hunting shotguns :frown:
It all depends on where you live (eg do follow the letter to gun control unification), but you can get AK if you are in a shooting club that shoots with guns like that and you can prove that you are oriented to shoot with guns like that. And rimfire rifles are easy to get. Just call the one who handles the permit applications, he tells you what he needs to get your permit.
Anyone know much about the FAL? There's one at the shop here that's going for about $700. I think it's an Enterprise... could be a Century Arms, though. I'd have to go back and double check. Shame that there aren't that many original FNs around.
original FNs are automatic, that's probably why
I know. There were a number of them that were converted though... they float around on Gunbroker sometimes but they cost an ungodly amount of money.
Looks great except for the compensator. Compensators on 1911s make baby Jesus cry :frown: Also, debating between a Saiga 12 and a SPAS. I can get the Siaga for about half the price of the SPAS, but the SPAS has a much higher "badass" factor IMO. It even comes with the rare-as-hell hook stock. Im trying to tell myself to go with the Siaga though. Mag fed seems more effective is pretty much any situation.
I'm pretty sure a SPAS is illegal in the United States because the shell capacity exceeds like either 5 or 6. Anyways it has an 8 shell capacity. Their extremely rare and put you down about 1,200 USD. Big waste in my own opinion. I mean you can make M4s the original ones by getting the original upper. The only original firearms I can think of are firearms that were kept in armories in the US over the years, or produced in the United States. As it is impossible to import a 100% Legit Assault rifle you are forced to 1. Produce it in the Nation, or 2. Get certain parts and assemble it in the nation. An original AK47 would put you down about 1,250 USD. That is if you have it edited into a Semi-Automatic variant, otherwise you are looking at around 15,000 [editline]07:42PM[/editline]
Anyone know much about the FAL? If you are really worried about that have a Metal Stock custom made or just buy one.
I want a G3 so bad.
I want a G3 so bad.
Actually my bro owns one. You can't go wrong with .308
I want a M110 and a SIG P226 in .357 sig
:downs: You don't have a clue about you're talking about. Fuck I've seen Semi-auto shotguns with a 12 shot capacity and they're not illegal AT ALL.
Alright bro. This just in: Just because you see it doesn't mean you don't need a special permit for it. :downs: I've seen an Uzi in a store! Does that mean I don't need a license for it?! Legally only law Enforcement shotguns can have a 6+ Shell capacity, this is truly dependent on state however.

(.308) http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=154289389
The G3 isn't cleaner than the FAL, it's actually the dirtiest gun I've ever owned (but I love it anyway), and the FAL is actually lighter, and the controls are more ergonomic. I'd still go with the G3 though, it just feels so much better than the FAL and in my experience it's more accurate and reliable and ten times more comfortable to hold and shoot.
Alright bro. This just in: Just because you see it doesn't mean you don't need a special permit for it. :downs: I've seen an Uzi in a store! And yeah, you don't need a license to own a fucking Uzi, full auto or not (if it's transferable), nor do you need a license to own a shotgun with a 7 capacity magazine (Spas 12s hold 7 rounds, not 8) unless you live in California, in which case your opinion doesn't really matter.

I'd have to brush up on my laws to confirm that, but I'm pretty sure. Also, what you said about the G3... it's a nice gun for sure, and if they ever get one of those in it'll be a tough decision between the two. But there's just something about the FAL that I love. Can't really put my finger on it. The recoil? Or just the overall handling? At this point it's still up in the air on what I'm going to get, but I've had my eye on that FAL for a while.
I'm looking forward to getting in the army, because the standard issue for Norwegian troops is a license built G-3 that's designated AG-3. I just hope the place I'm most likely to go hasn't been issued the HK416 yet. If that's the case, I'll do my best to get the 417 since I might be able to qualify as a sniper (even though the reason I'm going into the army is because I'm want the apprentice time as a gunsmith to go smoothly, and that means I'll be stuck in the base, meaning that I'll get the Glock or a MP5 :sigh: )

It's kind of hard to explain, but it's just incredibly comfortable to hold. The FAL is sexy and I love the controls but I've always hated how it felt, it's rather uncomfortable to hold and the pistol grip is really shitty and blocky. They always have really nice triggers though.

You DO need a permit for a magazine capacity exceeding around 6 rounds in certain states. I know for a fact in Arkansas and Virginia.

But in any case, you don't need a special permit to own it so you're still wrong. As for Arkansas and Virginia, I still doubt it but not everyone lives in Arkansas and Virginia so it still doesn't matter.
