A transferable fully automatic Uzi would cost like 12,000... You DO need a permit for a magazine capacity exceeding around 6 rounds in certain states. I know for a fact in Arkansas and Virginia.
I can order a 50 round UZI magazine for $18. No strings attached to me :D
I can't find anything about a 6 shot magazine cap on shotguns in any state, so until I get a source, I'm calling BS.
You're terrible at estimating prices. Transferable Uzis are $5,000 to $8,000 depending on if it's original, converted or has a registered bolt. But in any case, you don't need a special permit to own it so you're still wrong. As for Arkansas and Virginia, I still doubt it but not everyone lives in Arkansas and Virginia so it still doesn't matter.
Like me, I don't live in Arkansas or Virginia. I can have a 100 round beta C-mag without any sort or permit or tax stamp or anything. My mossberg 500 has an 8 round magazine, my buddy has a 50 round magazine for his AR. Hell here in Minnesota the only thing you really need a permit here for is to purchase handguns and certain "assault style" rifles.
I can order a 50 round UZI magazine for $18. No strings attached to me :D
Of course not, it's just a magazine.
I Norway the most you can have on a hunting firearm at all is 4 rounds. That goes for both rifles and shotguns. (and you rarely get a permit for a firearm unless you are going to go hunting)
I'm looking forward to getting in the army, because the standard issue for Norwegian troops is a license built G-3 that's designated AG-3. I just hope the place I'm most likely to go hasn't been issued the HK416 yet. If that's the case, I'll do my best to get the 417 since I might be able to qualify as a sniper (even though the reason I'm going into the army is because I'm want the apprentice time as a gunsmith to go smoothly, and that means I'll be stuck in the base, meaning that I'll get the Glock or a MP5 :sigh: )
I can't believe i just saw someone who sounded upset about being issued a 416, or an Mp5... You sir, have made me sad!
I can't believe i just saw someone who sounded upset about being issued a 416, or an Mp5... You sir, have made me sad!
I'd be upset if I was issued a 416.

Only place to fire ones are HVU (HV Ungdommen), but those are locked to semi to prevent shootouts (Before some smartass thought of that in 1996, they used leftover K98s from the Nazi occupation.) (blame the neo nazis for the shootouts).
I Norway the most you can have on a hunting firearm at all is 4 rounds. That goes for both rifles and shotguns. You can get "any" handgun after 6 months in a handgun club(I'm doing this already), semiautomatics are allowed for some[Citation needed], might be everyone, and we don't have any laws regarding silencers.
I can't believe i just saw someone who sounded upset about being issued a 416, or an Mp5...
Anyone know much about the FAL? There's one at the shop here that's going for about $700. I think it's an Enterprise... could be a Century Arms, though. I'd have to go back and double check. Shame that there aren't that many original FNs around.
Be on the lookout for FALs put together from a mix of parts kits from British and Metric FALs. The Brits made all their components in inches and everyone else used the Metric system. Thus some of the parts aren't interchangeable, causing malfunctions if you use parts from one gun in another. Could be why it's 700 bucks.
I'm pretty sure a SPAS is illegal in the United States because the shell capacity exceeds like either 5 or 6. Anyways it has an 8 shell capacity. Their extremely rare and put you down about 1,200 USD. Big waste in my own opinion.
Other people have posted this earlier. But you don't know what you're talking about. There is a sporting goods store that sells shotguns with an 8 round magazine capacity and they sell that gun everywhere in the country. As for a SPAS. They are banned by name in California, not that I'm missing much. And they banned importation but the ones that are already here can be transferred freely (again, except for CA). They aren't worth the money unless you want a fun gun that looks cool, is fun to shoot and is collectible. Normally I wouldn't recommend one but under the circumstances specified by the person who asked that question a SPAS would be excellent for his needs.
Most damages made to a Nagant are the stocks. If you are really worried about that have a Metal Stock custom made or just buy one.
That is a pretty dumb recommendation. It would cost a lot of money to have anything that big custom made out of metal, and it would weigh a LOT. It's a pretty big rifle with a lot of stock. You can just buy another used stock or get a composite one from ATI. Both cost about 50-80$

But if it's an Enterprise gun and it's being sold for $700, he'd be a fool not to buy it. [editline]06:04PM[/editline]
original FNs are automatic, that's probably why
FN made semi automatic variants a while back, but they banned them from import. I think the receivers might still be imported though.
Why can't we all take this over here: http://www.facepunch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Shit, I didn't even know that existed.
Thanks for all the info (Bean-O, mugofdoom). I'll run down and check it out when I can... pretty full schedule this week unfortunately.
Wow, miss the entire fucking point of my post why don't you. I wasn't trying to be an ITG, I was pointing out TO the ITG, that his silly childish view of weapons and combat is retarded. "Every one of us has 2 ULTIMATE Weapons; Fists." is what he said. As I stated, I'm an Amateur boxer, I compete in a sport that revolves entirely around the use of fists, and yet, I fail to see how using a firearm to defend yourself in a life or death situation, is "cheating", as if it were some kind of game. Varj is childish and moronic.
[editline]04:23AM[/editline] Got any other wicked tales of interest?
Why can't we all take this over here: http://www.facepunch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Because this being in the GD is a much better place for it, also since those threads are harder to get to and the GD is not.
DrMortician, how many guns do you fricking have? Like holy crap.
DrMortician, how many guns do you fricking have? Like holy crap.
I thought he only had like five or six.
I still gotta find my camera.
I would like to know some of your opinions on the CX4 storm. I know it's a bit overpriced but I personally love the way it looks and feels, and I think owning one in .40 or .45 would work just fine.
I can't believe i just saw someone who sounded upset about being issued a 416, or an Mp5... I'd go for the one in .40S&W, mostly because there's an abundance of ammo for it here in Colorado.
Well, I got out to the range last night with my glock and my kimber. That .460rowland is ungodly. But one problem... It was failing to extract every few shots. I didn't notice till I got home, but almost every case was extremely close to having a complete rupture. Looks like I loaded them a bit hot... :v: It blew stuff up better than the .454 casull did. It was also extremely accurate and easy to control, but a little hard on the hands because of the back strap checkering. I ran a new batch of .460rowland on my machine loaded a grain lighter and polished/shaped the extractor so it isn't so worn. Hopefully that has the gun running right now. The glock was ridiculously accurate, boringly reliable, and very soft shooting. Hit everything I aimed at dead center every time. Blah I really hate the "glock perfection" marketing phrase, but I would have to say it's pretty well spot on. [editline]01:45PM[/editline]
DrMortician, how many guns do you fricking have? Like holy crap.
Around 11 or so. Technically 15.
This is the same Mortician who was bagging out the GLOCK series and touting the superiority of his Springfield XD all but a few months ago right?
This is the same Mortician who was bagging out the GLOCK series and touting the superiority of his Springfield XD all but a few months ago right?
Yea. My friend's glock(17) 9mm still runs like ass. So I'm sticking by that statement. The XD was a better gun in most respects, I out shot his glock at the range every single time. This .45gap is a whole new animal though. Everything is smooth as silk. I also checked out the larger framed glocks, like the 21 yesterday and discovered they fit my hands really well... Surprisingly. I don't regret getting the gap but a 10mm may be in my future.
Around 11 or so. Technically 15.
What do you mean by technically? And, I've finnaly found my camera and took picures of all my guns. All desriptions are at the BOTTOM of the image I'm talking about. [img_thumb]http://i49.tinypic.com/rhmrdf.jpg[/img_thumb] All of them together. [img_thumb]http://i47.tinypic.com/2yxjg2o.jpg[/img_thumb] Bolt action Remington .22 Short Long or .22 LR rifle. I couldn't find the model number, this shit is OLD. Everything seems to be original, no wonder it needs several new things. It just won't fire. Definitely would not depend on this one for my life. [IMG_thumb]http://i47.tinypic.com/e666bc.jpg[/IMG_thumb] H&R "Sportsman" Model 999 .22 LR revolver with a capacity of 9. It worked like a charm up until the last time me and my dad went to the range, which was like 2 weeks ago. The cylinder won't revolve upon a pull of the trigger 3 out of 4 times. I its' current state, wouldn't depend on this one for my life either, but I imagine it's a simple fix. [IMG_thumb]http://i49.tinypic.com/2u8aucz.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Winchester Model 190 .22 L or LR semi-auto rifle with a capacity of ~16. Now this one is very nice. It's never jammed and kicks likea BB gun, one-handing is no problem. The cartridge may be small, but with 16 shots loaded, it'll do the job. I'd depend on this for my life if ammo for these next ones were scarce. [img_thumb]http://i48.tinypic.com/2i70eiw.jpg[/img_thumb] Marlin Firearms Model 336 30-30 Win. lever-action rifle with Bushnell 25x-7x scope. This rifle is accurate as hell. I was at the range and this guy had this rife with a big-ass scope, way bigger than the one I have on this one. I bet him 10 dollars that I could shoot more accurate than he could. He looked at the scope and said "Sure, your funeral." We each took 3 shots. Out of his three, one went in middle of the target. 2 of mine went in the middle and the other barely missed it. I still haven't spent those 10 dollars. I'd definitely depend on this one. [IMG_thumb]http://i48.tinypic.com/241v0cn.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Joe Williams/Sears Roebuck semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun, capacity ~5. This is a nice gun. It's a shotgun. 12 gauge. 5 shots. Nothing more to add. [img_thumb]http://i50.tinypic.com/2my3k78.jpg[/img_thumb] Winchester Model 1878 38-40/.38 W.C.F. lever-action rifle. Now this here is my dad's pride and joy. This sucker has been in our family since 1880. Passed down from generation to generation. Also extremely accurate and works like a charm. I'd depend on this one for my life out of all the guns. [img_thumb]http://i48.tinypic.com/14o9jtj.jpg[/img_thumb] Here's a picture showing a camparison for all the ammo all the guns require, with a quarter for scaling. And here's a bonus: [img_thumb]http://i45.tinypic.com/9frwjr.jpg[/img_thumb] My cats, who kept on laying on the guns while I was trying to take pictures of them. The black one's Shadow and the grey one's Oliver. Bonus fact: Shadow was born without a tail.
I just think that I would prefer the ag3, since that is proven to work by being used over several years.
This is true.
Anyone know the limit for bullet speed? I'm going to assume their is a limit to how fast gunpowder can expand.
