I'm thinking about getting a K31 from JG Sales sometime soon, either that or a Czech VZ 24 from AIM (or both, considering I'll have enough money to spend for both and alot more soon if things go my way). I was wondering, does anyone know anything about the K31s from JG? The VZ 24s from AIM? Typical condition, etc etc, any place that sells them cheaper or in better condition?

Though I wish I hadn't waited so long to get one, I'd much rather have a K11 or a G11, but AIM sold out of those. What type of finish did they originally use on the stocks? Shellac? I ask just in case I want to refinish it, if that would even be advisable.
Looking at a .44 Magnum revolver. Having a hard time deciding between http://www.jgsales.com/product_info.php/smith-wesson/revolver/p/smith-wesson-model-29-4%2C-44mag-classic-hunter%2C-8-3-8in-excellent-condition/cPath/16_211_431/products_id/4095 [this] and http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=105602[this] And finally http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=84112[this] Now this is primarily for target shooting. I'm leaning towards the Taurus because of it's price, but I have been told to be very wary of their stuff, to put it simply, the quality can be great with one gun, but absolute butthole butter with another. What say you FP? Any alternatives you recommend? Oh and to do shit like this.

Hell I loved the raging bull and the tracker, and If it wasn't for that damn federal law prohibiting those under 21 from buying handguns from FFD's I'd have a PT1911 right now (though I can legally pick them up from private sellers, something I intend to do at the next upcoming gun show)

The S&W 29 in the first link has a soft spot with me seeing as it was made the year I was born etc. Maybe I should just collect the stuff, I really like revolvers in general :v:
629 V-Comp Hands down, nothing else you're going to try will ever compare to it.
Anyone know anything about Yugoslavian SKS's? I bought a cheap, beat up one a while back that I refinished, but I could never get it to cycle. The gas shutoff valve is in the correct position, not the grenade position, it has a new, stainless steel gas shutoff valve, the barrel is in great condition, everything on it seems to be exactly the same as my Russian SKS that works flawlessly, but for some reason it just won't cycle. Here's the gun just for the fuck of it:
Well there are multiple problems with it: the throught could be to tight for the ammo that you are using, if your bolt is a shitty chinese (6 cases out of 10 it is) bolt then it would have a engagement malfunction due to the extractor not catching the rim of the case, the receiver is that of a diffrent SKS and is not really designed for the 7.62x39mm round but was lathed to accept the 7.62x39mm round, or IF you are using the internal box mag then the spring is to weak to handel it, or even the receiver feed ramp is gettin caught on the feed ramp thus not letting the bolt engage the round
The feed ramp on the left is most likely the same type of feed ramp on your SKS and the bolt is gettin caught on the edge of the ramp/receiver cut-out; the possible soloution to this is the take a Dremel tool or a lathe and curve those sharp indentations and possibly smooth out the feed ramp base BUT BE CAREFUL AS TO HOW MUCH YOU CUT IT DOWN!!!!!!! Hope this helped :) [editline]07:40AM[/editline]
I hear they sometimes mount a plane on that thing so that its mobility is increased 20-fold, so it can more easily blow up things we don't like.
Thats true, it can be mounted onto an: AC130, A-10 Thunderbolt II, Hind, Lynx, Apache, Pavelow, or Tiger UHT altough the Hind, Lynx, Apache, Pavelow and Tiger UHT only go up to a 20mm or a 30mm M789 High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP)

I wouldn't advise anyone try this themselves without considerable experience because you may fuck up the tolerances and create a hand grenade. You can polish the feed ramp all you want, but if it isn't extracting, that isn't going to do a damned thing. Also to point out something, the barrel on the right pictured above is a glock barrel. That massive throat for the barrel is responsible for about 75% of why they're so reliable.
you should probably run a pipe cleaner through the gas port long before ever attempting something as balls to the walls as dremeling off material detail strip it, grease/oil all piston components, and ensure that the gas system is working correctly. If it is, and the bolt is reciprocating after each shot, then it is definitely an extractor issue.
Too late, already sold it lol. The bolt didn't move after each shot, I've found that it's because the rounds are expanding and getting stuck in the chamber, causing it to not extract and in order to extract it I had to beat on the cocking handle. I had no idea how to fix it so I sold it, I only lost about $10 on the sale so it's all good. Pretty sure it was due to an oversized chamber, but again, I doubt there was anything I could do without having to dremel the shit out of it, which I'd rather not do. [editline]05:19PM[/editline] By the way, my 15 G3 mags arrived today, as well as everything else I ordered (AK sling for my Yugo M70, Crapco gas piston and trigger group for the AK and a G3 dual mag pouch). They're all in great condition, some look new even, and most of them fit fine, the rest just need a little work with a file and they should work fine. Might get pics in a little while.

I doubt that as well, I'd imagine there was just an extreme build up of the laquer they used for the steel cased ammo causing rounds to stick. Simply cleaning all that shit out with a chamber brush would have probably fixed it, and at worst you could have just had a gun smith lap the chamber for a few dollars. Sad to sell a gun over something that silly... Exact same thing my 1911 was doing but I fixed it.

I've got a Yugo, it's a nice rifle but it's not something I would lose sleep over if I had to / wanted to sell it. And I didn't get to go look at the FAL this week. I got called in to work again on Tuesday, when I was going to go look at it. It seems that work does not agree with my gun shop viewing ways

It was only spent casings getting stuck too, not unfired rounds, the spent casings were swelling and then getting stuck. I even resorted to using a really fine file to polish the inside of the chamber, no luck. I say oversized because unfired rounds had a lot of play in them when they were in the chamber, I assumed that with so much play it allowed the rounds to expand further, causing them to get stuck, I don't know though. Probably a stupid assumption now that I think about it, haven't had this problem before with any other gun. I don't care though, I had no intentions of keeping it and the only reason I managed to sell the piece of shit was because I spent a week refinishing the thing so it didn't look like a piece of rotten shit.
I'm needing some more gun porn sites. Anyone have any?

That one too is sexy, but I prefer the BAR over that. Now onto something else, WHERE THE FUCK IS THE TRIGGER ON THE BROWNING M2? I've seen it used several times in documentaries, but I still don't know where the f'ing trigger is.

Oh, thanks. I never knew that.
