The defects in the model year of the Beretta i'm looking have mostly been fixed, such as the slide issue. I never want to own a Glock, for whatever reason I hate Glock. I'm fine with a gun that weighs more as long as it is spread equally, which i've heard the Berettas are, making recoil easier to control. I'm not buying it to conceal and carry, the only gun i'll be using for that will be a SIG P226 DAK chambered in .40 S&W, the standard issue Coast Guard firearm. Also, .40 seems like it would actually be the best calibre for me, it is cheap, heavier than 9mm, but not as much recoil as a .45.

But why? I have a 3rd gen 19 and it has only jammed once, and we've put at least 1.2k rounds through it.
Sigs are an excellent concealed carry choice. I don't personally see the point of DAK, but whatever floats your boat.
I'm saving my money for an amphibian S
Here's a tip, never sell a blood stained gun. Apparently the guy who sold the colt to the store shot himself with the colt, and the blood stained on the barrel on the grips, and it ate away at the finish. I got a dirty stare from the guy I sold it to.

Tis (I think) a suppressed Ruger Mk. 1. Correct me if I'm wrong.
To the guy who wants to buy a Beretta, do yourself a favor and buy a used Sig, and it's $100 less than that Beretta you were looking at as well. Great deal IMO.

God fucking dammit, why am I not 21. I'm gonna have to poke my buddy todd to get his permit to purchase again so he can grab me this.
Somebody find me a video of a guy fireing a handheld minigun

That's because they aren't in existence yet.
That's because they aren't in existence yet.
And if they did, they would be ridiculously heavy, cumbersome, and recoil like crazy.
And if they did, they would be ridiculously heavy, cumbersome, and recoil like crazy.
What. It's in 5.56, it would be one or the other.
That's because they aren't in existence yet.
The US military played around with the idea of having a man portable minigun in 5.56. They made a few and tested them and found them to be basically useless. The amount of ammo a person could carry greatly restricted it's use due to it's high rate of fire, and even with using the 5.56 the recoil was well beyond manageable. Another issue was the battery required to power the electric motor which drives the barrel. The battery alone weight a good amount and it would be out of power after 3,000 rounds.

Personal preference.
I for one hate the grip and balance. It's a good gun, it just doesn't fit well in my hand.

Pretty sure they fixed this one with the Gen 4 series. They now have adjustable grips.
Pretty sure they fixed this one with the Gen 4 series. They now have adjustable grips.
The shape of the grip still looks the same and the texturing looks like it'd stab into my hand. I'd have to hold one to be sure though. But I have shot a SIG 1911 with a similar grip texture. Felt like it was stabbing into my hand every time the gun went off and I didn't like it very much.
Again, all personal preference.
Tis (I think) a suppressed Ruger Mk. 1. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Just a heavy barrel variant I think.
That thing costs almost 2,000$ which is way too much for a .22 gun unless you compete in the Olympics. Even then for ~500 bux you can get a Ruger 10/22 and pimp it out so much that you can put a hole in the exact center of the paper and put every subsequent shot through the exact same hole.
It wouldn't be to start, Just something to get if I got right into the competition side. Over here that Anschutz costs about 1200. I guess 22's are probably in circulation a bit more here in Aus.
How much we talking to pimp out that ruger?

500 max.
So really its just adding a scope.

Surprised that they even did tests. Right off the bat I could tell you it would be unfeasable if for no reason other than that the person using it would have to stand in the open with nothing blocking the roation of the barrel which means a standing position. That means he has to stand in open fire to use it.
Useless.

I'm sure they're nice guns and all I just don't want one. It's like how I can admit that Avatar was a good movie but I can't like it too much because it has had way too much hype. I'd also rather have a steel gun than one with plastics on it to keep the weight down, i've heard that the plastics make the gun somewhat unbalanced and make the gun harder to control.

I'm aware of those. I thought about getting one but i'd rather try out a beretta, if I were to get a SIG i'd want to get a P226 or a P220 Carry.

9mm is easy peasy to control in GOOD polymer framed guns. It's .40 S&W that's got a reputation for being pretty snappy.
Hasn't really stopped me from eying the Glock 22 4th Gen myself.

Yeah and I want a gun in .40 S&W not 9mm. My next gun would be a 9mm SIG P226 probably.
Rifle itself. 200-250$
Heavy barrel+stock combo. 165$
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/24693-1.html#Reviews
OR
Houge stock. 65$
http://www.shopperschoice.com/item_name_Hogue-Rubber-Overmolded-Stock-For-Ruger-Ruger-10-22-Bull-920-Barrel_item_2548888.html?source=froogle
Barrel. 100-200$
http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/catalog.aspx?catid=10-22.920sporterdiameterbarrels
Then a scope. Which can be the most expensive part. But you should be set for about 150$ although some people pay as much as 1,500$.
http://www.gunsmoke.com/guns/1022/scopes.html
Let's say on the cheap end 50$.
http://www.eabco.com/HawkeScopes02.html
If it's junk trash it and get something else.
So 250+65+100+50=465$

Well, shit. Why would anyone do this?
I'd tape 2 magazines with one rotated and upside down so I could pull the empty then flip into loaded.
But would you make a swastika-looking magazine setup like that?
Instant squad support weapon! Just add masking tape!
