I'd tape 2 magazines with one rotated and upside down so I could pull the empty then flip into loaded.
Why make it upside down rather than just side by side, that would save time.
Why make it upside down rather than just side by side, that would save time.
Because than you need to leave a space between the magazines, something that tape does not hold very well.
Because than you need to leave a space between the magazines, something that tape does not hold very well.
I've seen people do that. Generally they just put a spacer between the mags. Granted with some weapons that doesn't work so the upside down choice would be better. I know the AK-101 series works well with a spacer, but not so sure about the AK-47.
Surprised that they even did tests. Right off the bat I could tell you it would be unfeasable if for no reason other than that the person using it would have to stand in the open with nothing blocking the roation of the barrel which means a standing position. That means he has to stand in open fire to use it. Useless.
Well the idea was for it to be used exactly like it was used in predator, in a thick jungle close combat environment where the sheer volume of fire would defeat any opposition.
Figured out >20 round mags are legal to possess in Maryland, they just can't be transferred from 1 person to another here. Having my cousin in PA buy some 25 round Mini-14 and a few surplus 30 round AK mags, driving there and picking them up, paying him, and driving back to MD. Still can't have any handguns that can hold >8 rounds. Limited to my CZ82, TTC, Makarov, and looking into those used Sig p225's I linked.

I might go shooting for the first time all year on Saturday.
I'm sure they're nice guns and all I just don't want one. It's like how I can admit that Avatar was a good movie but I can't like it too much because it has had way too much hype. I'd also rather have a steel gun than one with plastics on it to keep the weight down, i've heard that the plastics make the gun somewhat unbalanced and make the gun harder to control. [editline]09:32AM[/editline] Because that's what the Coast Guard will give me. [editline]09:33AM[/editline] I'm aware of those. I thought about getting one but i'd rather try out a beretta, if I were to get a SIG i'd want to get a P226 or a P220 Carry.
Glocks aren't unbalanced. They're balanced pretty damned well and shoot comfortably... As long as you don't get some snappy round like the .40S&W. In 9mm or .45gap they're really comfortable and enjoyable to shoot. They are hard to control in .40S&W, it's worse than shooting a .44 magnum, IMO. It's really just a matter of getting used to them, in a few magazines you'll have it figured out and like it pretty well. I always hated glocks till I got my model 37. As far as CCWing a full sized sig, it's going to be a bit of a challenge. I do it, but I can't see many other people finding that comfortable enough to stick with it. The glock is thinner, lighter, and has higher capacity than a Sig.
Dear insensitive idiots - I know what a POSP looks like - I own one. That's not a real POSP scope, it's a chinese knockoff. You can tell by the matte black finish (Belorussian scopes either have a grey speckled finish or a shiny black), lack of markings (BELOMO don't make unmarked scopes), lack of interchangeable mounting bracket, lack of a cover over the illumination switch and the switch has a white endcap instead of a rubber boot. For comparison, Real POSP w/SVD mount - Chinese knockoff found on many an airsoft site - Rifle I was originally referring to in this thread - As you can see, it has a chinese knockoff scope on it. Now, please retract those dumb ratings :) On a serious note though - how well does it stand up to being mounted on a real rifle? does it hold zero well?
I bought it on Ebay for $80, and I've yet to have any problems with it. It's a great scope, regardless of it's clone status. I'll try to get some more pictures of it, particularly looking down it. [editline]03:29AM[/editline] Actually, on that note, I have a Winchester pump action .22 from the 1800s. I'll grab some pictures of that as well. My great grandfather owned it previously, and it's in pristine condition.

[editline]07:41AM[/editline] You guys have never seen the video of the guy that has an AK47 with a chainsaw taped to the bottom and a bottle of scope taped to the top have you?
Guns are for show, knives are for a pro.
I really want to own a M2 Browning to stick out my window and THUMPATHUMPATHUMPA chavs' legs off.

It was still a crew served weapon that had to be mounted on either a vehicle or a tripod. Their goal was to make it like the M2. They never realistically believed it was able to be wielded by one guy.

Knives are useful tools, as combat weapons they have limited use in todays world.
Knives are useful tools, as combat weapons they have limited use in todays world.
Precisely sir.
