I love firearms.
Old joke.
A glock under my AK? Tacticlol has never been better.
These have actually been around for ages.
A glock under my AK? Tacticlol has never been better.
M4-pistol under a "dragunov"-AK would be more tacticool tho.
Mmm... Baretta 92FS.

Well especially considering it costs half as much as the handgun you attach it to.
Fun stuff, there's a StG44 replica being made on the market, firing 7.92 kurz. Enjoy feeding that thing. The Robinson XCR is the best carbine made. No disputes. Long stroke gas system, soft recoil, bullet-proof, no special tools needed to tear down everything to the last part, 3.5 pound two-stage trigger standard. Also, no sproing noise when you fire.
demand for ammo still exists and a few manufacturers make new 8mm kurz. Privi partisan also makes 8mm lebel now, which is the first time it's been made commercially in over 90 years. [editline]01:58PM[/editline]
I found a listing that piqued my interest lately. Apparently there are a handful of .308 Chilean Mausers that were imported not too long ago and they all qualify for Antique status which would save me a lot of headaches with FFL transfers. I'm currently fence sitting between buying one or saving up for a centerfire autoloading rifle of some kind. But before I put my money down I'd like to know a few things. Firstly, since there are rechambered up to .308 from 7mm Mauser and not to mention they are old guns in general are they even safe to fire? Is the rechambering on these rifles sloppy? Are some safe while others are hand grenades? In general do they tend to be beat to heck or hardly used? It said that since they're antique you don't need an FFL. Can the weapon be shipped strait to my house? Does this also apply in California or is there a law here that requires me to have a C&R license or have it transferred through a dealer even if the weapon is antique? I know it may be a longshot that someone here has a Chilean Mauser in their gun safe but if you know anything about them let me in on it. Just bought a tin for 100 bux. May seem expensive compared to the listings you see online for ~80$ but keep in mind these things weigh 25 pounds and shipping on an item that heavy is not cheap at all.
Ooh! Those .308 mausers are hit and miss. Most of them were given chamber inserts which allowed .308 (really 7.62 NATO, loading up .308 in one of these things would probably blow up the insert) to be fed in. If it is re-barreled you have nothing to worry about though. Google around, I saw a web page some guy made about his which he had pictures of after the insert burst. I would save up for an autoloader if I were you, or just buy a yugo mauser for even less if you really wan't a mauser right now.
I got an offer to buy one of the 1912 Chilean Mausers also in .308 for less than 300 bux from a private seller. It's a better gun to be sure but I might pass it up anyway. I'm more interested in an SKS since the ammo is dirt cheap.
I'd see the use if it was a silenced sidearm mounted directly on the rail, M203 style, but the way they made it looks just impractical and useless.
Yes, lets make it where you can use the silencer and the rifle at the same time, but you must make your rifle more unwieldy and make it where you can't unjam or easily chamber a round into the pistol. Any intelligent person who was given that would scrap it and just use their sidearm properly.

Not to mention, it will be hard firing that thing in the prone and probably will break if thrown on the ground. [editline]05:44PM[/editline] Behold the most versatile weapon ever. Has a Machine Gun scope on the top, ACOG on the left, Flashlight on the bottom, and Laser thinga majiggie on the right. Perfect for all types of situations.
Couldn't buy it even if they did. The standard issue green tips are armor piercing.
Geneva bans these from war
