I've always loved 80s - early 90s japanese car and I'm thinking of making a bit of a project out of an old cresta gx71, giving it some slight bosozuku styling and maybe swapping in a 1-2jz later down the road. I did a quick shop of one for sale near me:

Don't want to start a gigantic debate or anything but with a car like that you're really going to be wanting the manual transmission.

unless its like a 1500hp turbo drag car or a flappy paddle hypercar
I want a flappy paddle gearbox. Don't get me wrong, I love my regular manual, but I think paddles r cul.

Personally looking at a Honda Fit to last me the next five or six years because they look great, you should honestly look past the sports car flare and consider something that you'll be able to drive even in the face of rising gas prices
