Changing your password/email won't do anything if you are infected with a RAT. Some RAT's have an option to seed torrents, send spam, etc., and it probably obtained your email password with the keylogger that most RAT's come with, or the RA just used remote desktop to use your already logged in hotmail account.

This honestly just happened to me.

My hotmail randomly sent out viagra ads to everyone I had ever emailed, including Gabe Newell. I have used GMail for ages now, and hadn't logged onto hotmail for months - it couldn't have been keylogging or phishing, so I guess it was bruteforced.

This just happened to me too. I've been looking for a good excuse to switch to Gmail for a while and now I have it. Only problem is I can't import my contacts and mails because the older account is blocked, but I guess I can just tell people about my new adress. Now I'm gonna start changing the info on every website I've ever signed up in. Oh well. P.S.: Hotmail, rot in hell.

Hotmail is okay I guess, but it's the easiest to hack. All the people I hacked (not sure if you can call it hacking, I just got into their e-mails :v:) had hotmail emails
