The fact that the shitty subreddits are the most popular subreddits do tend to tell you alot about the general community of reddit.
yeah and you know why? because pretty much 75% of people on FP go to reddit most of the pictures posted on this forum come from reddit, that includes LMAO pics
50% I'd say. Other 50% goes to 4chan.
The fact that the shitty subreddits are the most popular subreddits do tend to tell you alot about the general community of reddit.
They're the most popular because they're default. And more people=more idiots, just look at facebook.
r/atheism is a weird place. They hate churches but act like they are one.
/r/atheism isn't a place for rational discussion, it's the only real venting place for American atheists, because a lot of them can't be open about who they are in the real world.
So you only want people to know you're an atheist if it makes you look good? That's even worse.
Not really, it's just when people ask me I don't refer directly to it. Most people I know are devout believers of various faiths and are pretty aware of /r/atheism and "atheist justice bloggers"(or whatever they call themselves, I call them omega neckbeards). So it really doesn't help you when you say that because the response always ends up being, in some shape or form: "So you're one of those intolerant fucks", but mostly it's followed by threats of violence. I would say I'm atheist, but where I live, it's really dangerous to claim I'm one and being shunned by people you were friends with long ago is not worth it.
