I'll give a quick update on what the journal says, if anyone's curious. It's the diary of a young boy (Oliver Jackson) with a few troubles who is sent to England. There, he goes on a fieldtrip to learn about witches, and is possessed by no other than Demdike! I thought it was a fake name at first, but she was a real lady who was burned at the stake (for being a witch, obviously).
The boy is hospitalized and is eventually taken out to be exorcised by Mr. Tom Abbott (the guy who "wrote" the letter). There's symbols and drawings all over the journal, but I can't be arsed to take pics and upload them tonight. Maybe on Friday or Saturday, and I can read the journal over Discord again if anyone's interested.
I think the story is that Oliver Jackson is "just fine" leading a new life away from his old name. But Demdike is out for revenge against the Nowells, and Tom "sent" me a letter to warn me that some crazy witch-ghost lady is after me.
