It's actually a lot of fucking fun.
Learn your rolls first before you jump off of stuff. Remember, it's a diagonal roll basically, you'd want to go, depending on what side, from your left shoulder to your lower-right back.
Also, be prepared for some knee pain. That's the fucking worst.
You should know that alot of your bones are going to be breaking...often

You really just have to get a good sense of what you can and can't do. I don't mean hold yourself back, I mean don't attempt things you aren't sure you can do safely.
Wear a sweat band.
I'm confused about rolls.
Am I supposed to do rolls where you go from Head to Neck to back and back up, or shoulder to back and then up? If it is the latter - I'm doin it rite! :D
