Oh come on Black team, let's kick some ass!
That ain't how flames work, mate.
Notice how the explosion covers the whole rocket, yet there's still tons of shrapnel?

For the flame to be present in that entire area that entire section of roof would have to have been incinerated. Unless you were lazy and just ignored the fact that there would still be roof along that plane.
The explosion wouldn't go through the roof like that, explosions always expand to where there's less resistance.

Also, Tyanet, since when was PW realistic. :v:
Elf;22467669']I didn't mean directly below where the explosion hit, I meant towards the left and right edges surrounding the man. Also, Tyanet, since when was PW realistic. :v:
Since me and Ty2 came. Or rather since Ty2 came and influenced like 5 people to be realistic.
REALISM... What.. with the units some of us have? :v:
But at least try to be a tad realistic. 'Since when is PW realistic' is not a valid excuse to be non-realistic.
Alright alright, keep shamming off my mortar effects. When you do yours I'll copy them you know... :v:
Kinda busy atm, we'll continue this later. okay :D?
S'fine.
The sniper continues running with the shrapnel barely holding out. LOTS of blood is pouring out of the parts of the body that got raped by elf's mortar. *Gray's have the weird attitude to bleed a lot :v:* The soldier suddenly sees the blue soldier standing in front and quickly fires as he already got hit.

The blues advance! Seems as if they will be able to STEAMROLL the greys!

But, A Mortar has a delay fuse in it and it would hit the concrete go in about 1 foot then explode so it would take a nice chunk out of the roof and would kill anyone inside the building. it wouldn't make fire like on your pic but its hard to show what an explosion is because every one thinks that an explosion has fire in it and "we" all assume that they look like that. Also bad spelling because of a new crapy keybored that i can beraly press a key down with out pressing three.

Well sorry for trying to shed some light on this.
It's not such a big deal, the way you put it, Muffin, the guy inside would have died anyway. Oh well, it doesn't really matter if the two guys playing that match don't care - right?

All shells are designed to detonate a little after they hit so they penetrate through. if it hits dirt it wouldn't go in far enough to stop the shrapnel hitting people, so they just make them go off after contact... but there are airburst shells.
A mortar is not designed to penetrate objects, it is designed to deliver an explosive charge over a distance. In general, these detonate on impact.
Though we were trying to be realistic...
Oh just shut up!
As Kommrad said, if you're not commenting on the match then please, leave. I don't care how a mortar works in real life, I am not planning on joining the army.
Sorry Kommrad... sorry Elf.
Thank you for the apology, that's something I don't see here much! :v:
The soldiers keep moving. The sniper sits down slowly with the shrapnel still in his feet. Meanwhile a flamer gets ass spawned. *used another point*

Snipers?
Snipers?
Y'what?
