They never showed us any true before or after photos. They showed us his burned hand but not his burned shoulder. Then they show us his shoulder after the procedure but not his hand. So how can we tell how truely effective it is?

True but only to an extent. Without wars we wouldnt have an ever escalating arms race to make weapons better. As weapons become better at killing people better medical technology is needed to aid soldiers in not dying from said weapons and so medical tech follows suit shortly after.
It's sort of related because it's National Geographic... but some camerman for National Geographic got killed by a Komodo Dragon while going #2 in a bush.
