Wow this looks amazing. I think Im going to get this.
6:10 - "so just look at how big this world is, it's massive. it's absolutely massive. and what's neat about this, anywhere you can see, you can get to" ...
You inspired me.
Aside from Fallons forced excitement this was pretty cool. It's amazing that a game with such high visual fidelity can be rendered on a handheld.
if i remember correctly fallon has always been really into games
The Frame Rate on Switch is so much better. Wii U Go to 28:26 if it doesn't go to it directly. Switch Go to 7:00 if it doesn't go to it directly.
Shigeru Miyamotos twitter is still suspended. Sad.
What happened?
What happened?
it's a parody account, not the real miyamoto probably got suspended for stealing tweets
it's a parody account, not the real miyamoto probably got suspended for stealing tweets
Impersonation, actually. It tooks Twitter ages but they warned the account holder it would be suspended shortly before they did it.
Aside from Fallons forced excitement this was pretty cool.
While I don't know much about Fallon either, he didn't look that forced. If you look back at when he was first holding the screen pad, you could see him shaking while handling it especially when they zoom in on his hands when placing the pad on the table. He could still be exaggerating his excitement overall, yes, but keep in mind that he is the first man (in North America at the very least) to see the Switch working and actually playing a game on it. THE Zelda game nonetheless. Not all of it is fake. There is still a lot of tiny body behavior you cannot fake at all or hide. And no one besides him other then Nintendo employees and 3rd Party Devs have touched or played the Switch until he did. All those actors in the ad where toying with empty replicas. Wouldn't you be excited if you had an exclusive look at a brand new console and getting to play a game on it that you liked a lot? All I know is that it's going to be surreal whenever I get to boot up Breath of the Wild, even more if it's on Switch as I never got a console on release day in my life. On another note, whoever thought of showing a massive explosion on screen had very clever marketing idea. That didn't even seem to have dented the framerate at all while it would have probably sent the Wii U version into the 10fps for a second. Perfect to show how much of a difference the consoles have in terms of power. I may have preodered the Wii U version already so I can be sure to play the game, I will be getting the Switch as well. Not sure if I'll take the bundled version (IF there is one) cause the game usually comes pre-installed in it and I prefer physical versions.
Selling my Wii U to save up for getting this. Does it play Wii U games?
Selling my Wii U to save up for getting this. Does it play Wii U games?
nope. game carts.
-snip-
It's kinda sad that we're having to prove his excitement -wasn't- insincere.
I don't blame him for being skeptic at all. With how many people fake their reactions and with the enormous amount of reaction channels/videos that don't seem genuine at all 80-90% of the time, it's perfectly understandable that he'd be cautious about Fallon's reaction.
My proof is how Reggie was reacting to Jimmy. Every time Reggie is trying to explain some thing about the Switch, Jimmy cuts him off to geek out and you could see Reggie getting pissed.

Jimmy's excitement only put the Switch in an even better light.
It is going to be for both, Reggie said so during the segment and a quick google search brings up that it's just going to be released later for Android.
Oh, well then awesome! Can't wait for both.

It's amazing how easy it is to see that he's talking about the Switch based on how he's moving his hands :v:
Honestly that's all the better for the switch. If you can identify a product on hand motions alone that makes it pretty iconic already
The bit was like WWE, Jimmy knew who would be there and what would happen but it was real in that it was his first time playing with it. It feels weird seeing Nintendo's vision of bringing more people into the gaming community come to light. Part of me wants to think NORMIES REE when they react to general gameplay, but playing video games is no longer as much of an esoteric thing for programming nerds/teenagers like it was around its inception. Its kinda nice seeing more people want to play.
I spy a usb-c port. Finally no proprietary charger!

I just love how excited he is and its making me hype too
jimmy seems a smidge ecstatic
I think Jimmy is fairly genuine, he love this sort of thing, and he's always reacted like this, long before he even got a talk show. Go watch his SNL bits, dude gets excited just being there and nearly ruins the flow of every skit because he starts laughing. It's amazing.

He's wearing Miyamoto's back stage pass, he just really loves nintendo
god damn, there's more orgasms in the video than the average hentai
god damn, there's more orgasms in the video than the average hentai
Reggie iku!
I honestly think he is excited for it, but since he is on his show, he exaggerates it a little bit.
