Well aren't you the counter-non-counter fanboy /sarcasm. Oh, right, the whole "set in spain with parasites that turn people into giant leech monsters with penis tentacles" thing was definately spot on within the franchise itself right? Or mabye you forgot about TALOS from umbrella chronicles: http://projectumbrella.net/files/imagecache/preview/images/TALOS1.JPG Right, so i guess the whole "Wesker can teleport now" thing is just like a white board in the RE universe *swish swish swish* NEVAH HAPPENED. Because Jill Sandwiches and Barry Burton were very important to everything Resident Evil had to offer! Along with tank controls, shitty ass camera angles, retardedly poor puzzle design (no fucking sane man on earth would design a police station OR mansion with those security systems in mind), and inconsistencies within the plotline of the game world itself! Oh, but shame on me for trying to brandish the movies with a sense of creativity for trying to innovate over capcoms poor mistakes.
Do you ever do anything but rage and scream over the internet
Do you ever do anything but rage and scream over the internet
Funny, that's what i imagine every RE fanboy in this thread is doing right now, after they sodomize themselves with replica's of their favored samurai edge 9mm S.T.A.R.S. pistols. But it's starting to get fucking annoying... Because it's the fanboys that pretty much ruin anything good. RE Extinction was fucking horrible though, i'll give them that.
I'm sorry, but if I'm a fan of a franchise, I'd rather they not make a movie that ruins said franchise. They can make a shitty zombie/matrix movie and call it something else. This isn't Resident Evil. It's like making a Half Life movie with a female lead that has nothing to do with a resonance cascade. It'd be infuriating. But you'd probably call anyone who complained about it a dumb fanboy.
All resident evil movies are bad except the first one was sorta good.

But you'd probably call anyone who complained about it a dumb fanboy.
Well, let's see, this is based on the 4RTH movie in the series, and correct, me if i'm wrong, but the original RE movie was had major elements that were similar to the game. It went and did it's own thing. And if your comparing this to the matrix, then i have every damn right to say that's BS (points to scene in Code Veronica's intro with the helicopter/glass hallway scene). Not to mention, when they make movies too close to the game, they turn out shitty (points to Resident Evil Apacolypse). Complaining about a movie that hasn't been released yet with people basing information apparently gained from their asses? NONSENSE! Especially since the director/writer/whatever said that Alice lost her powers or some shit in this one. The matrix wasn't the first movie to include slo-mo either. There were some movies from the 1960's that even had bullet time. But, i guess it's common-place for knowledgeless dipshits to call a movie generic and worthless based on nothing but their own self-prejudiced assumptions. Oh, i'm sorry, you were complaining about how the movie is nothing like the series even with 4 direct characters (chris, wesker, claire, large axe wielding executioner) and with the manjini also apparently in the film. But i was rude, continue.

Well it was kind of expected there would be no more zombies since it's been a fucking hell of a long time since the outbreak. Yea I get she was modified to be a super soldieresque thing, but this is just taking that and making it seems like shes a super hero or another matrix character. They finally killed the series.
I'm only going to see this to see if they raped Wesker, I actually liked him in RE5, I mean Wesker as in himself, not his reasons for doing what he did, just him, he was bad ass in RE5 though I felt giving him the powers he had made the fight with him feel a little shitty. His speed in RE5 made me feel like it would of been better had he been in a more Devil May Cry kind of game, at least as far as fighting him goes. Weskers been one of the only things in RE that I still like. That said I don't care much for the person playing him, his structure looked too small to me in this trailer. As long as they don't kill him off in as lame of a way as they did in RE5.
Wesker in RE5 is pure badass compared to other RE series.
It's different than video-game series, but it's entertaining. I wouldn't watch 2 hours of movie where they just talk about zombies and try to solve puzzles.
When are they just going to kill the Movie franchise, they are milking it pretty badly...
Wesker in RE5 is pure badass compared to other RE series.
Bleh! I hated what they did to Wesker in RE5. I'm okay with his matrix-styled powers, since they established the fact that he was super-human in Veronica (though in Veronica it was a bit toned back and I preferred that). I hated that his master plan was so cliche (Destroy the world huh?), and while I knew Wesker was [sp]going to have to die eventually for the series to move on[/sp], they did so in the most uninspired way possible, at least as far as the location was concerned. But I could rant and rave about RE5 forever, and while it was a FUN game, I feel that RE4 or the remake of Resident Evil for the gamecube are the best in the series.
the trailer was horrible, I luaghed at the random addition of the executioner from RE5.
More like Resident Evil: Zombies, Vampires and whatever the fuck may come up next. Looks nice though.
When are they just going to kill the Movie franchise, they are milking it pretty badly...
Really? I thought they were when they put RE4 on everything besides a microwave and the N-Gage... Or perhaps when they transfered RE2 and 3 to gamecube... Or mabye it's the fact they are now releasing some spin off each year every year since RE4 came out... AND that they are now putting RE characters in entirely different Video Game series (IE Lost Planet 2, Wesker skin)... But i guess your right... It's trying to be the generic cliche action movie. What about Resident Evil: Degeneration? I'm very sure that it was very close to the game, and have heard that it didn't suck. Not to mention you have the fans that have painful cunt orgasms over Capcom changing a mildly hilarious excuse for a horror game into something that's actually controllable, has decent pacing, an actual mysterious and interesting storyline thats different from "big bad organisation tries to run the world." which is something i'd expect from a 3rd grader with downs, and is FUN to play and not AGONIZINGLY PAINFUL over the menial tasks which include you changing statues around inside of a police station to open a door with colored keys, because we know every police station is designed like this, with grenade launchers locked in safes all around the fucking place, to doing various other shit no one cares about which does nothing further then to irratate the player and egg him on into thinking any of this is actually going somewhere. Silent hill had a better storyline then this and that thing was fucking PATHETIC.
I do agree with that. However, it doesn't mean that the game sucks. It means that it was heavily focused on the genre on survival horror. That means if you're too used to L4D/SCZ, then the RE series is DEFINITELY NOT for you. Not my type of game either.

If someone is going to say slo mo is "cliche", then say good bye to ALOT of great action movies. You've probably heard that it didn't suck, from RE fans. Well, it means they were designed poorly. I thought outbreak was a large improvement over the series, as a return to the whole "fixed camera third person" aspect. Although that's not to say i don't have problems with that also.

I can agree that Outbreak was a huge improvement, however I didn't really have a huge issue with the camera in the earlier games. RE2 grew boring for me after I couldn't find anymore ammo and was stuck on an irritating puzzle.
Bud389, go take a fucking midol and chill the hell out.
It looks like a Lady Gaga music video, I gotta see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Also where was the scene with Wesker sitting in the chair and the 2 dogs coming up stolen from again?
Extinction was the only remotely good RE film.
You made a funny joke. The only decent film in the Resident Evil film series was the first one because it was the only one that stayed even remotely faithful to the games (with the exception of Apocolypse, but that was absoulte ass).

It was MORE then just "remotely faithful".
The only thing I still want to see in a Resident Evil movie are the hunters. I've always been more of a fan of the hunters then the lickers. [sp]Goddamn, when I saw the lickers in RE5, I was waiting for more B.O.W weapons to show up, I was disappointed.[/sp]
...I seriously thought I was watching a trailer to an alternative version of I Am Legend in the beginning.
It looks like it's going to be good, but nothing like Resident Evil should be. I love all the Resident Evil films, but after the first two they didn't feel anything like Resident Evil to me. It doesn't make them bad movies though, just not exactly Resident Evil-feeling movies. I can't explain what I'm trying to say, but either way I'm going to watch it and (probably) enjoy it.
Well this looks like utter shit. Pretty much contradicts the Resident Evil name.
Bud, you sound like your taking the opinions that the RE movies are shit a bit to personally. Yes, they are are kinda shit being that they deviate from a legit Resident Evil universe however, to each his own. The first movie was alright and I prefer it over any of the others and have been disappointed by each thus far due to such said butchering. I know some 90 some odd percent about what happned in the RE universe and I'm sorely aggervated that douche of a director took Resident Evil and several other movies (you pick em'), and stuck them in a blender spewing this nonsence. On another note, the train in the first movie accually said "Alexi 9000", which in the game it was "Galaxy 9000". The "G" was red and hard to see on old CRT TVs. Look again next time you play. And from an earlier post on the first page someone mentioned that the series would have been better if Romero did them, well I fully agree with that. I have that said script and read it, it follows the story line to a T and doesent skimp on any action and cuts all the puzzle shit. Like Inspector Jones wanted, there were Hunters in it and a REAL Tyrant of the T-102 varitey.
Considering its a Resident Evil movie and is in 3D, at least you'll get 3D tits in your face.
Milla Jovovich is as flat as a board Still very hot, but don't expect big 3d boobs.

What happened at the end of the third one, I forgot? [sp] The guy blows up the truck, she goes into the underground base, fights the main dood, and that's it? [/sp]
