Apparently it's gonna turn into snow this Friday.
Weather is getting weird.
65 degrees in parts of Indiana today. It was pretty nice.
Yeah but they're calling for some crazy storms tonight, followed by a huge temperature drop.

Ugh.
Still, though, this year isn't as disconcerting as last year, where we had no winter to speak of followed by a brutal heat wave that lasted basically all summer.
low of 13 tomorrow
boy this is like being stuck on a trampoline where a fat kid keeps timing their jumps to slap you back into the air
Dear Chicago, please make up your mind about what season it is

Chicago:

So I noticed some chicago news crew was outside my school doing a report. Only thing I can guess why they were out there is because some cops are going to be firing blanks in my school tomorrow throughout the day so "we know what a gun sounds like". Because apparently no one knows.
[sp]Cary-Grove btw[/sp]
I was able to walk around without a jacket on today and tomorrow the low is 13. Chicago WHY?
My first real winter in 16 years (we moved from Illinois to Tennessee when I was 5) is hard enough without the weather going bipolar all the time.
I just want it to be warm again. My day is so much better when I don't have to heat my truck up in the morning and freeze to death.

You guys had a really good shot putter last year, nearly set the state record. Thats about all I know about your area/school.

didn't someone recently have a 'surprise school shooting simulation' somewhere where they did that and everyone panicked and called their parents to say they hear gunfire and were afraid for their lives and such

If that's true, then you gotta love this country sometimes.
On a sidenote I'm on stormwatch for my family tonight. Our alley is wonky so our basement can get flooded.
And I do not want to spend all morning draining a mixture of rainwater, cat piss, and cigarette ashes while my mother yells at me again.
If you are ever in Bloomington IN, have a drink at the Office Lounge. Best bar ever...
Awesome, flood warnings for the Vermillion River (at least my stretch of it) until Friday.

I gotta say this Scottish pub in Indy is the best bar ever. Go to piss and on one side you have a picture of Connery starring at you and on the other there's Mel Gibson
It's intimidating
Whee, snow storm here in northeastish Wisconsin

Well it's confirmed they were there because of the code-red drill using track starting pistols with blanks in them to simulate gunfire. 3 different news stations were interviewing kids when they left the school for lunch (periods 5-7) and the drill was during 3rd period.
My school has been in the news for 3 things now.
1. A bus full of students getting hit by a train in 1995: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995_Fox_River_Grove_bus%E2%80%93train_collision)
2. A ridiculous amount of kids getting whooping cough (last year)
3. This code-red using blanks (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/suburbs/crystal_lake_cary/chi-cary-code-red-drill-20130130,0,2093418.story)
Oh, I didn't see this thread. I live in the sweet burbs of Illinois, a little town by the name of Saint Charles.

So my grandfather died this morning around 5:20 am central.
Cancer everywhere pretty much, as well as years of drinking.

I'm sorry to hear that. Were you close with him?
I'm sorry to hear that. Were you close with him?
Yeah, haven't seen him after we moved, but he understood me not wanting to see him.
From what my sister described, he was in pretty much the most shit condition you could see.

Ooh, my dad's friend is from St. Charles. He's pretty awesome. The town is cool too I guess.
Belleville reporting in.
Come on, you've heard of Belleville, right?
Of course you have.

Isn't that where those Triplets live?
Holy fuck this snow. Good thing I called my grandma before she left for here. We got 11" of snow.

oh boy
speaking of news, I think the radio station WCPT (chicago public talk) added Al Jazeera to their 8pm slot, instead of the usual opinion talk and annoying ranting you catch by late night pundits. it was just a steady, un-interrupted stream about news everywhere, including some seriously messed up massacre in egypt
it's scary but I'd rather get actual news with no political spins nor pushing for ad revenue, felt like the world was a big place again
Hey, is anyone around here in school for Game Art and Design? I've been looking at the Art Institute of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), but I've been hearing mixed opinions.
what the fuck it's 20º outside
