I was on 172 in Green Bay and I had no idea what happened. Saw a cop car and traffic went to one lane, then completely stopped for about an hour. When we finally started going again, I didn't see anything. I don't think it was an accident. No clue what happened though.
Hey, is anyone around here in school for Game Art and Design? I've been looking at the Art Institute of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), but I've been hearing mixed opinions.
I'm at UW-Whitewater in their game design program, I feel that AI hands cookie cutter portfolios and if I remember correctly when I was at a presentation for AI's Game Design Program I called out that they presented watermarked concept art for Guild Wars: Factions as student art. The presenter freaked out when I told him about it. And as for UW-Whitewater's program I feel like they are still working out the kinks with the curriculum, the portfolios I've seen are all simple flash games with more emphasis on 2D artwork rather than allowing students to focus on 3D work. But I have to admit some of the instructors they are now hiring know what they're talking about.
I know UW Stout has a game design program, but I think you have to have a lot more of an art background than I actually have. And last I checked it was closed too.
I mostly want to learn 3D design so it sounds like your program isn't exactly what I want.

We do have 3D courses, it's just not a prominent part of portfolios.
Anyone here of that guy that was released by "mistake" and was convicted for murder?

Yes. Fun stuff.
The snow is so nice outside.
Right so we're going to Sunday mass tomorrow with my uncle and his family, because he asked us to, because of his father dying.
The Funeral mass for grandfather is this coming Friday.
To get onto the topic of religion, I was talking to my sister about my atheism, and my father overhears. Afterwards he passed me by and says "You're a heathen." Not even with an angry tone of voice, just like, a bit dissapointed.
Thinking about that, I came to the conclusion that, like my bisexuality, they'll probably never really accept it. And in the end I'll just have to live with that.
Just my recent thoughts.
Been doing some photography in some nearby towns and forest preserves, it's a ton of fun.
Found a couple of uprooted trees too, I wonder how that happened. Probably the microburst that happened 2 years ago.
Post the pictures?
man I'm glad I moved to Dupage county and not Cook. Smokes are like 5 bucks and in Cook its like 12. When I took the train to see a show at the House of Blues 1 beer(can) was like 8 bucks. I got a 12 pack for 9$ for the Supebowl. Shits crazy man

welcome to buying drinks at events, go to any club or venue and you'll be paying extortionate prices for drinks, they get the money because people are there to celebrate and want to drink bad enough to not care about prices.
I mean, even out in lake county the popular bars will have 'specials' on specific drinks and it still comes out to like $5-7 per bottle.
wish the city never got rid of this airport

For real. Learned my lesson. Next time Imma just pregame it and drink before goin out next time haha
Indy's venues and shows aren't nearly as bad as Chicago ones thou. They'll mark a domestic up a little bit but 8$ for a regular ass can of Budweiser blew my mind. Hell there's a strip club in Ft Wayne or Kokomo that has quarter bottles of domestic beers on Thursdays. Shit was so cash but you'd need atleast 4-5 beers to enjoy the sight of some of those chicks :v:
So how bout that snow?
So how bout that snow?
I left work at 4:30 to beat the storm on thursday and I didn't get home til 7:30
We have absolutely no snow here.
I was leaving for work on time Friday morning and ended up getting stuck in the snow in our driveway. Then my tailgate had fallen down, so I lifted it back up and the entire thing just fell off. I was just standing there going "WHAT IS THIS?"
I had to call into work and later in the day my neighbor pulled me out of the snow with his truck :I
Fucking snow.
The roads were fucked Monday morning, and I tried make my truck go and ended up doing a 180 into the other lane. Thankfully the roads are pretty empty at 5:30am.
Lordy.
So my grandfather got creamated and put into a blue urn.
It was buried on top of my great grandmother's grave last friday.
On a happier note I went an hour on an eliptical machine at my gym. Woop!
I used to love the winter so much. Now, I just hate it. When all the Christmas and New Years stuff is done, and you're four months into snow, winter just starts to suck. I might get to see the sun like twice a week. I'm ready for spring.
I used to love winter, but there hasn't been so much as a few inches of snow that melted the next day where I am.
Born in Milwaukee, grew up in Naperville, then got relocated to the ass end of Colorado.

Where is the "ass end" of Colorado?
the entire thing I presume
Born in Milwaukee, grew up in Naperville, then got relocated to the ass end of Colorado.
Would that be the flat part, the mountain part, or the Denver part? Because that's about all there is to Colorado.
the entire thing I presume
I've seen some really nice places in Colorado. Boulder is an amazing city.

I've seen some pretty nice butts but they're still the ass-end of a person
also chicago-ish area people, today felt like spring at a nice 50-55 degrees
prepare thine bottoms for the next few weeks because it's gonna start raining tonight, then drop to 17 before sunrise, and hit a feel-rating of -6 by wednesday.

What the hell is up with Madison County not getting any snow? Ever since I moved here in '10 I haven't seen a good snowfall that just wasn't powder snow.
Oh and also Edwardsville's getting a Sam's Club and a Walmart Super-Center so I guess we're finally becoming a town :downs:
Oh, I didn't see this thread. I live in the sweet burbs of Illinois, a little town by the name of Saint Charles.
