early this morning two teens died in a car accident in Antioch, likely due to this freak freeze-over storm. My sister apparently used to babysit for the boy's younger siblings

That's awful, should always drive 10-15 under in weather like this, that's what I do.
Oconomowoc, WI checking in
I hate this city

usually I get angry with people in this area driving super slow, because they only ever do it when there's light powdery snow and no accumulation. In this case however, it was 50 degrees and raining all through the evening last night, then snap froze to 13 by the morning. Nothing was plowed or salted when I left for work this morning either

Dealing with a toothache.
Bleh.
Our school got a 2 hour delay because of last night's ice storm. My brother's school was cancelled, lucky jerk.

I live in Cary. Pretty much Crystal Lake.
grayslake up here, pretty close
I drive about 15 minutes from Lindenhurst to get on the Metra at Grayslake.
It's not even a long drive, but there's about 20 goddamned stoplights.

why do you go to grayslake? Lake Villa and RLB are both way closer, unless timing requires you to hit the line that comes from Fox Lake instead of Antioch
also I think I've mentioned before but i'm actually in Hainesville, but that covers all of about two subdivisions and a gas station. I've lived in two Round Lake's and a Lindenhurst my whole life and I'd never even heard of this place until I moved here

damn, I'd have to buy a different metra ticket to stalk you, I'm on Union Pacific/North Line :p
grays has two lines through it, both foxlake and antioch. It'd just make sense to hit LV or RLB from the Antioch line since you pass by both going down 83 towards Grayslake, and the stations both head down nearly the same path. I presume Forgot's line stops at a specific town that the other doesn't
It snowed.
No snow in Bloomington yet, just rain. Some poor bastard slid his Rav 4 into the back of my van today. The van my company owns. The company that is terminating me in 2 days so my boss could hire her friend's son.
Fucking awesome. Karma is a bitch.
Yeah, this rain has been shitty.
Got a few blisters while running because of soaked shoes.
I was in Peoria today, was rather snowy but the roads were clear. Up here in Streator it's about the same conditions.
Ottawa got a 12:15 dismissal, wooo.
Central Indiana's been getting rain some days and snow the other all week. This weathery mix is starting to piss me off.
That damn groundhog lied about spring coming early.

Everybody in my town is getting the flu all of a sudden. Is the same happening elsewhere?
Happy late Kashmere Polish Sausage day
All of the Illinois people should meet up someday at the Manteno State Hospital and go urbexing
Sorry for the double post, but did anyone else get a snowday?
work is calling the day short at 3:30 here in chicago. It's snowing up and getting thicker every minute
also urbexing sounds great, is it a safe location to visit with a large group? Usually not the best idea to urbex in a pack if you're not experienced/coordinated/unable to stop talking and cracking jokes loudly
