Autistic people are... difficult to be around.
It isn't that hard. Although I'm probably a little biased.
Aspergers doesn't exist. It's just an excuse for parents to use to state that their kids are just retarded socially.
I am going to have to disagree with do my experience being around people with aspergers. I am very socially awkward but it is nothing compared to my wife's older sister. She spends most of her time watching toddler shows on TV and claiming that any male that even looks at her is somehow in love with her. Even though she can be a great person sometimes she has quite socially handicapped.
It's changed a lot. Now it isn't generally socially acceptable to do it. Fun fact: Handicap didn't actually come from disabled people begging with there "cap in there hand". It actually came from an old bartering game.
I'd say about 65% of Facepunch have Aspergers, but not enough of it for it to be called a syndrome. Also, people makes fun of people with disabilities so that they can feel better about themselves.
Well I have a form of Autism, one that is not the same as others, it's called Aspergers Syndrome.
rated autistic
It's life.
Making genuine fun of the disabled drives me crazy, considering my dad and uncle fall into that category. However, poking fun or making jokes relieves some of the stress that comes with living with them, so that's all good.
I really don't see people making fun of disabled people anymore. Unless you mean those people with assholes syndrome who use aspergers as a cover up. In which case they get made fun of all the time and deserve it.
Well I have a form of Autism, one that is not the same as others, it's called Aspergers Syndrome.
Just like every other person on FP/internet in general.
Aspergers doesn't exist. He always has some kind of food in his pockets; cheese, onions, fruit or spaghetti.
"Retard" means to slow down, delay, hinder, hold back, etc. For example; Fire Retardant.
I think this one guy at school knocked down this retarded kid because he hugged him, even though he hugs/high-fives/pats everybody on the back.

Retard is only offensive when used on someone with a disability. It's like calling someone an idiot if they do something stupid. But if someone is just generally not that smart it wouldn't be nice to call them an idiot. I call my friends retards if they do something stupid. But I would never make fun of someone with a disabilty.
I dislike the majority of the disabled people I know not because they're disabled but because they're complete douchebags. For example, one of them doesn't wash and standing next to him for more than a few seconds makes me want to puke, he will chase you around and no matter how much you tell him too go away he won't. He will then come onto girls by doing a perverse look at them and going "heyyy seexxyy" even when they show no interest in him what so ever and infact show quite the opposite. Most of my friends are more civilised than that. He doesn't get into trouble for anything too. If he didn't act like this then I along with everyone else would probably have no problem with him. And I personally think this is why "retard" is used as an insult. Knowing me though this makes me sound like an asshole :v:
I hate how this forum is filled with the ignorant teens who think they are smart and edgy by suggesting making these people into fertilizer. you do sound like an asshole
When people call someone a "Retard" it makes me so mad!
This is what pisses me off. How about you just fucking deal with it? If you're that sensitive that when someone uses the word and you feel "insulted" whether or not it was designated for you that's not my problem nor anyone elses. And if you step in a stop someone from making fun of an actual retard or mentally disabled guy, you're doing absolutely nothing to help, in fact, you're being even more detrimental, treating the victim like a baby who can't do anything. Recently, in school, my school banned the word retard, naturally i opposed it and made a lot of people angry, but after it was banned people became pissed off because now half the school was thrown into detention daily for saying the word. No matter what, some word is going to be used in a derogatory sense to cause harm, stop being butthurt over just one.
Cause it sounds like ass burgers, man. (p.s I have aspergers, yet I never get taunted for it, except for "LOLOLO YOU HAS ASS BURGERS HURR DURR" and that's only occasionally.)
I'm autistic. Bring it.
People in my school call people atarded instead of retarded because it is apparently not as bad as retarded.
To be honest I think the word retard has mutated over time just generally to mean idiot. And yes, I am against this but people aren't going to be stopping it any time soon so you'll just have to learn to deal with it.
That's basically what happened with idiot as well you know. Used to be a technical term. The same thing is happening to retard.
Someone needs to calm down :colbert:
Genius first post. Absolutely brilliant.
Yeah, I am a genius.
Fuck you And fuck you. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Rusty100))
Dude you made the thread what were you going to expect? If think your views are actually offensive to everyone. Thankfully you can't have your view again :v:
Well I have a form of Autism, one that is not the same as others, it's called Aspergers Syndrome.
Assburgerzz
ITT: BAWWWWW someone call me names
Well, the only retard I make fun of is Chris-chan. "I is 21 years old."
I have autistic traits myself but see no problem with jokes regarding disability, mental conditions or anything else however I draw the line at insults that have malicious intent and discrimination i.e. excluding people because of their condition.
what i dont like is how mentally challenged people can get away with pretty much anything without punishment like in my school a kid who is supposedly retardet started hiting girls IN THE FACE with his fists , the school did absolutely nothing .And his parents are like "well he has a mental dissability so he doesnt know what he is doing" bullshit
Kinda the same thing happened at my school. We apparently have a no violence policy or whatever so after like two fights you get expelled from the school. This kid got in like 10 fights and even tried to stab some kid. It's not right. If they aren't able to function normally with society they shouldn't be there.
I hate retarded kids anyway, i don't see why they have to act out so fucking much, i get that they can't really control it but it's annoying when they do whatever they want and get away with it.
