nice car retard [editline]07:42PM[/editline]
I hate retarded kids anyway, i don't see why they have to act out so fucking much, i get that they can't really control it but it's annoying when they do whatever they want and get away with it.
yeah the little cunts
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I really don't know why they aren't "put down". I mean, they aren't really every going to do anything in life besides be a burden on everyone they are around. My uncle is mentally challenged and I'm saying this, even though I love him.
It's a horrible fact but many people insult people for having a form of Autism, or Mental Retardation.(They changed the name but I can't remember it) It makes everything unfriendly for everyone, the one insulted often feels worse and worse, much worse than when a normal person is insulted. When people call someone a "Retard" it makes me so mad! An example would be everywhere(one of which being the Blockland forums.) Another could be when I was playing GMod and built a little car thing, someone came up and said "Nice car retard" Just because it was my first attempt at a car. Post your rants like this here as well, and continue mine.
Internet white knight detected, just get over it.
My sister is mentally disabled, you can make fun of her all you want because she doesn't understand anything people say anyway. Just don't say it anywhere near a relative because the chances are they'll punch you in the face. Sure disabled people are hard to be around I think so too, but think about how lucky you are to be able to communicate, and lead a normal life. My sister is confined to a wheelchair and sits in front of a TV every hour of her day, why bother insulting someone who has so little? People who insult the disabled are just ignorant and unsympathetic, it's just not needed. Don't even bother arguing against that, because you can't.
My mom used to work with severly Autistic kids when I was little. She made a song about them if you're Autistic and you know it Flap your hands if you're Autistic and you know it Flap your hands If you're Autistic and you know it and you really wanna show it Flap your hands It's funny because the kids that she worked with always flapped their hands like a chicken when they where mad or something.
OP is a teenager with too many feelings
I've got an asperger friend, he keeps counting every step on every stair we climb, he counting the days we go in school and he always... He always has some kind of food in his pockets; cheese, onions, fruit or spaghetti.
I have Aspergers too, but wtf? Spaghetti in his pocket... and onions? Is he trying to protect himself from Dracula or what?
People with down syndrome have jagged teeth and super human strength and all they think about is sex..
I sure as hell don't. [editline]01:34AM[/editline]
People with down syndrome have jagged teeth and super human strength and all they think about is sex..
http://www.ncpad.org/disability/fact_sheet.php?sheet=139&section=1074&PHPSESSID=
I honestly dont see what the deal, just as how I dont see why black people should be offended by niggers when they use it, or the use of the word gay, and I also find that most people that are offended by these words are people outside these groups, I know a high functioning autistic kids, he calls people stupid/retarded a lot, he doesnt care, me and my best friend are bi, we use gay, I only know one person offended by it and she's straight

and I sympathize with actually retarded people, but I cant stand the high functioners and ass-burger shits, they are led to believe that they can do whatever they want just cuz they're loco for the coco, and then they can, NOTHING happens to them, so they do whatever ever they want, not all of them, but a sizeable amount
Because they are arrogant and have no understanding at all.

Retards are fairly gentle, but once you make them angry they go primal. If you want to know a retards true strength, take its cookie then eat it. They are dangerous because they don't know their own strength and they do not stop... Have you ever seen an angry gorilla?

Have you ever seen an angry gorilla?
yeah, I got attacked by a retard in my gym class several times, actually every single person in that gym class got raped by him on more than one occasion, and he was strong, he would wrap his body around you and you couldnt do anything, but he was nice, just playing, but he did that to me when we were swimming, he was on me for 5 minutes, saying "where is he? where is he????? Im gonna kill you Johnny" or something like that, I almost drowned, I woulda if he held on for more than that, I was like "ahh, glub glub" and they teacher didnt/hear, didnt see/didnt do anything
The word retard is so uncivilized! I call people imbeciles, like a true gentleman.
I don't think that people are intending to offend retarded people when they use the word retard. I think they're intending to offend the person they're speaking to.
I think it's become just a word that isn't meant to insult anyone rather than being derogatory, like gay. I don't like it, but people do it anyway :saddowns:

That's retarded. (Make it 369) [editline]07:35PM[/editline] Wait, ringo? Ring? Racecar? What is the R-word?
I'm autistic. Bring it.
Retard. No but seriously..
We have taken a word that was a way to describe someone who has a mental disease, and bastardized it to where it's now derogatory in any and all context. We've also taken the name of a mental disease and made the name into a derogitory term via a play on words. It's completely pointless, stupid, assonine, and a way for those who are insecure to inadvertently show it.
It's part of our culture
pointless
well what if I had an extremely round head, should I be offended?
I will quote Michael Scott: "You don't call retarded people retards. It's bad taste. You call your friends retards when they are acting retarded."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mClfU2NStY They are just like you.
You're retarded. Showing offence to that statement would be hypocritical
Because they think they are better than everyone else or just want to try to fit in
I do it for the ADRENALINE RUSH of it.
For the sake of argument, I will state I've been on the spectrum as an Aspie since 1997 (officially diagnosed) whilst remaining in a Speech and Language unit until 2002, and since still have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Like that has been previously mentioned - most people find it 'socially acceptable' nowadays simply because of the people who have been using it without ramifications reinforce the idea that it is perfectly accepted in today's society. It is not - it is still discrimination, and infact if used insultingly, could easily be pushed forward as harassment under the Disabilities Discrimination Act 2005 (DDA. Then again, language seems to be overstated nowadays - just saying "Special Needs" apparently constitutes as offensive language, yet I find it perfectly acceptable provided the context is correct. I'd say overall that it is up to you, as individuals, to determine the best time to use such language - if your private clique of friends holds no objections to the use of "retard" or any other "socially unacceptable" language, then that is your prerogative. However, please for the sake of your fellow community, stop using it publicly as if you are entitled to use it. Private > Public
That counter thing is kind of neat, yet I doubt the accuracy of it's findings. Maybe I'm just a cynic, but I can't help but laugh at these types of "goodwill" campaigns. I mean, who are they trying to fool?
