OP needs to chill.
Honestly, it IS insulting that you take offense to small things such as people going 'l0l u r retrd xd'.
As bad as it is, it's hilarious in the right situations.
Yeah, My Brother has a case of severe autism. He Can't speak and we can't communicate with him. Difficult having to deal with him.
Because they look and act different
Well I have a form of Autism, one that is not the same as others, it's called Aspergers Syndrome.
hahahha ASS BURGERS
but seriously I don't mean to make fun of retards, It's just natural to laugh at them.
Aspergers doesn't exist. It's just an excuse for parents to use to state that their kids are just retarded socially.
get a degree in psychology and then I will listen to you
It's just human instinct to put down "inferior" human beings. I wear glasses so people try to give me stick all the time
And yes insulting mentally challenged people is the top form of retardation
There is a kid with Aspergers that they put in my tech class last year and I swear every day I thought he was going to hurt someone. He would always run around with like a fucking power drill in his hand or some scissors or something really fucking sharp. He also made weird sounds and wore a helmet.
Autistic people are... difficult to be around.
Some are. Autism affects people in different ways. I've got a few friends with not-quite-so-severe cases of Autism, and both are a blast to be around.
Makes those who make fun of the people in question feel better about themselves because deep down they know they're dicks.
Making fun of mentally disabled people is retarded.
This.
Because we see are selfs as being better, and we laugh at their attemped to success in life. obvious question:(
This has to be the most retarded thread ever.

that's surprisingly small for the amount of people and posts there are on this forum :o
I would only insult a retard if they insulted me first. Like most things people get picked on, it isn't usually a form of discrimination, that person is being a dick and just happens to be retarded/fat/ugly/ginger/*insult here*
I personally don't make fun of the mentally disabled. I call people retards or aspies, but only when I know they actually aren't. I don't feel bad for it, I don't really see the words as relating to mental disorders, just another insult like shithead or fagballs.

They are just like you.
Don't throw us away!
that's surprisingly small for the amount of people and posts there are on this forum :o
That's retardingly surprising. I think we can up that retarded number if we try retardedly like retards.
All three she's had at least 4 kids get suspended.
Wait.... wut?
I don't make fun of them, it's just that the word "Retard" is thrown around so much, that it has became a habit to use it in a fitting situation. Same with saying "Oh my god" or "Jesus Christ!", even though I'm an atheist, I'm too used to using those terms.
Definitions of retard on the Web:
cause to move more slowly or operate at a slower rate; "This drug will retard your heart rate"
be delayed
check: slow the growth or development of; "The brain damage will retard the child's language development"
decelerate: lose velocity; move more slowly; "The car decelerated"
idiot: a person of subnormal intelligence
wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
No one is insulting the mentally retarded, one of the definitions is literally synonymous with "idiot", but most frequently "slow" or "to slow" (i.e. "to retard a process"). In any case, mental retardation derives from the word retard and means "mentally slow" or deficient of mental growth.
Well I have a form of Autism, one that is not the same as others, it's called Aspergers Syndrome.
So do I, but I don't make a big deal out of it.
A word of advice bro, look up The Gluten and Dairy Free Diet. I'm on it, it works. Only problem is, you have to be strict, or it won't work.
Very worth it though, beleive me.
Technically im physically disabled because I got a eye condition or eye issue.
I was born crossed eyed, so I have a eye that wonders and one that dosn't respond so well, so it usually ends up I have a eye that stares straight a head, while one will wonder.
Legally its physically disabled, its more visually impaired, I don't have any eye sight problems, even though I can barley pass the DMV eye test (i do get a head ache now an then)
Its more appearance that is the problem, as sometimes if im having a argument with someone, they usually feel the need to bring it into the conversation, such for example "hey wait wait, are you looking at me, i cant tell"
its annoying, now obviously theres much harsher ways but meh I try not to let it bother me.
One time some asshole called me crazy eyes, still dose, but I kind of like it, cause it sort of has a ring to it.
I mean its not like i was 10 years old one day and ran into a door and fucked my eye up, I was born with it, Ive gone under the knife 3 times, last time 2 years ago, getting a stitch in the eye dosn't hurt surprisingly.
Kind of adds character in a way, but also makes me less disarable as if im a broken person.
I also have a autistic cousin so it also hits a little at home when I see someone being made fun of for being mental/physically disable.
funny how a word that was meant for medical and scientific field being used in place for slow, or slow down is turned into a insult.
