I keep getting alerts for quarantined Trojans when I go to Facepunch, and then my internet declared it was an unsafe website so I had to clear thaat up..
I just got a Malware Virus :P
Thanks Facepunch!
You did good by giving me Antivirus Soft...
OP, I was a former Norton user don't worry its a false positive.
I suggest you get Avast! Home Edition.
Ok?
Where's Zeke129 when you need him?
I was busy fighting Garry's latest attempt to infiltrate our PCs of course.
Garry you coarse ruffian

Oh fuck we're gonna have viruses. I need to email garry and demand a fix!
How do I get a picture of Zeke running into a building with a ban-mace ,and swinging it at Garry like a mad Germanic tribes man?
Oh god so much irony here

No but have a killdozer
:killdozer:
I disabled adblock and noscript temporarily and NOD32 isn't saying anything is wrong. False positive?
Let's see what that file is.

I'mma gonna go ahead a fuck this VM up. You can see in the systray it's 100% constant.
So it ISN'T a false positive?
Holy shit.

Nope.
I think my title should be changed to IN YOUR FACE GARRY
I think my title should be changed to IN YOUR FACE GARRY
Ahahahahah.
Wait, I disabled adblock and noscript earlier. Am I at risk? I'm not seeing any odd processes or anything.

Shit... what if you click the ad, download it and execute it accidentally ? i gotta leave FP now, it's too risky. :ohdear:

It takes forever to start itself on a reboot. Gives you enough time to do something.

So it's not using some kind of exploit to fuck you over silently? Good to hear.

I'm guessing yes. I doubt the OP clicked the ad to begin with yet still got the file. Had it not been for olol Norton it could have been the same as what I did manually. Though deleting that file fixed it. Though IE is still broken (oh boy).

Well looks like I'm going to reboot and hope nothing happened.
I've been getting this with chrome mbam and avast.
Alright, I'm clear.
But god damn, this is exactly the reason why I run adblock and noscript in the first place. Can't even trust facepunch. Second time this has happened, Garry.

I rebooted the VM twice and nothing happened. You know you have it if you get that balloon. And if IE only opens that site.

Just correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't it accuses of a virus just because a simple pic on this page is hosted on a reported page ?
at least that's how it worked when i had kaspersky.
so it's a just a stupid .jpeg ad with a link, no need to panic.

No it's a random file (masked as .py) (though seems it's a PDF if that header told me anything) that's downloaded through an advertisement. It fucks up IE (again oh boy) to where it only goes to a page where you can buy their "AV" to fix the issue.
The virus is set up by MARGE the server
