Why we have never detected intelligent life forms in space OR how i'm a fucking genius.
You mean originally from the Sun, right?
Because most human stuff is powered by chemical combustion, not raw solar power.
Well, petroleum is formed by biomass, so it's really all solar energy.
You mean centripetal force. "Centrifugal" force technically does not exist, it's just what people say when they are improperly educated. The machine that creates centripetal force on humans is called a centrifuge. It was called centripetal force long before centrifuges were even created, I have no idea why people decided to butcher it and start calling it centrifugal force.
While not technically a physical "force", centrifugal force does exist as a concept. He's talking about an outward push to prevent the sphere from collapsing, which would be more in line with the concept of centrifugal force than centripetal force, which is a pull.
This is assuming that they communicate using radio waves, and that they have the urge to contact other races. Exploring and wanting to find other life in the galaxy is a human desire, nothing says alien civilizations have to have the same motives. They could be expanding into space purely because they need more resources and room to grow, even if they did pick up our radio transmissions, there's a chance they might not even give a shit.
I think a strong will to explore and research is a fundamental requirement for a technologically advanced civilization to develop. A population that does not have this will would just remain unchanged and undeveloped until it died out.
Hey, here's an idea, i'm not an astronomer, and I haven't studied it to any extensive length or even own a telescope, but! What if the aliens are living in a big buble that makes them invisible to all of our advanced space monitoring equipment. I am a genius and no one has ever thought of this until now.

I agree, but I'm saying that they could be doing so just for the sake of expanding their own civilization.
Exploring and researching to benefit themselves, basically.
Wanting to find other intelligent life is not a prerequisite for a space-faring civilization.
I'm sure someone on facepunch would think of something no one else ever has before.
I personally believe that aliens are all in a virtual reality of some kind. This is based on the belief that aliens have a concept of "want". Desire might be a human only emotion.
I thought a Dyson Sphere was a new type of hoover, you know the one with a rotating ball to get in spaces where you usually couldn't. Don't mind me, I'm uneducated.

Want and desire are the foundations for every intelligent species.
Oh, and survival, but any non-sapient species can have that.

No, that's chemical.
I see your point, that being ''we're all star stuff'' but honestly there's a huge difference in solar energy (energy being produced directly by the sun) and burning chemicals.
Don't call it solar energy for the sake of clarity people, because it technically is not. It is a byproduct of the sun's presence, but is not being released all the time by the sun.

How about rephrasing it. All energy that is released from chemical reactions on earth originates from fusion in the sun. It's the law of conservation of energy. The chemical reactions that initially took place when, for instance, biomass was created that became oil reserves did so through energy from the sun.

Where are you getting those statements from?
The only intelligent/sentient species we know of is humanity. We are not the standard for the rest of all intelligent life. Hell, there's a possibility that we are a fluke, that we shouldn't have developed a complex society due to our destructive nature. Other species could be looking at us and be thinking "How those idiots manage to develop themselves further with such primitive emotions like want and desire, we have no idea."
Octopi have a very similar mental capacity as us, but are they being held back by their lack of want and desire? No. They are being held back by communication (or lack thereof) and their solitary lifestyle. If you gave them a effective means of communication and put them in groups, they'd flourish and develop just as we did.
Hell, if anything, our ability to want and desire is what holds us back technologically. If we all looked at things logically and said "We need more room to expand our species, so let's colonize other planets," then we'd be pretty well off. Instead, we have primitive wants and desires like money and power, that eventually hold all of us back.
THE ALIENS ARE LIVING RIGHT HERE ON EARTH! THEY LIVE IN OUR BALLS! QUICK! CUT YOUR BALLS OFF AND FLUSH THEM DOWN THE TOILET!!! :derp:
Also, LSD is awesome.
What if the reason we haven't detected aliens in space is maaaybe because we imagine aliens as intelligent lifeforms that can travel in space at the speed of light or almost as fast (whatever).
But, maybe the human race is far more advanced than those other intellgent life forms? Or maybe they are ahead of us but not that much?

Making it harder to communicate or detect them.

There's also a possibility that even rocks are sentient, they just think slow. We don't take that into account though, we just go with the most likely option. That being, that us humans are at least similar to other intelligent species.
Imagine you've given a new kind of fruit. A blahfruit. You taste the blahfruit and it tastes awful. What's your assumption? All other blahfruits taste awful too. You don't think "oh this one must be a special individual" except if someone points it out, someone with more examples. You can't point out flaws in the blahfruit because it's the only blahfruit you've been given. You don't get to compare it to others. It is your only baseline.
Now imagine you're given one example of an intelligent species. Your only baseline. Isn't it natural to assume the other intelligent species are at least similar?

oh sorry you said dyson sphere
the dyson guy is a huge badass though, he's like an older Mike Rowe
has anyone thought that they compare us to like ants and just ignore us like we ignore ants?

"What's down there, is it intelligent civilization on a planet full of rare and expensive minerals?"
"Fuck it, Spaceburgers is just two lightyears from here."

This hoover...
IT HAS INTELLIGENCE.
Genius have proper grammar, which you don't have.

lawl compared to the universe we dont have any kind of rare minerals you cant find on another non life planet except what life
