I Can Not Receive A Higher Education Because Of My Parents

Your parents are the stereotypical idiotic Philistine rich douchebags, aren't they?
You have a misleading thread title. This isn't college, its just the difference between a private and public school from what I'm getting. Private, expensive schools don't instantly mean you are guaranteed higher education. On top of that, your dad makes 80k a year. Do you even know how much of that is actually his to keep yearly?
If you are so hell-bent on getting "better" education, why not take more advanced courses at your current school, and take college courses on the side. I knocked out my English and math I'd need to take as gen eds in college during high school, and my friend is going into college as a freshmen with over 30 credit hours already completed. My friend and I could combine what we paid and it'd be under 10k, and if you did this you'd end up paying 30k for this private school over the next 3 years, ending up with the same diploma as any other graduate. Private schools aren't gonna get you massively better education, they'll just give you more work with some pretty boring teachers who make the material even harder to learn. I'd know, I've gone to private schools in the past. While public schools may not be as good, in the end if your as smart as you make yourself out to be, you should be able to easily make up for any thing you wouldn't learn at the public school versus the private school.
It's best that you confront your parents about this dilemma. They are 100% NOT allowed to jeapordise your future just to pursue their own silly endeavours. They'll have plenty of time to break out the whipped cream and cocaine when you've graduated and left the nest.
I see where your dad's coming from, OP, higher education in America is pretty shit compared to rest of the world.
But, just having that degree helps when you need to sell yourself to an employer.
Hell, it doesn't matter if you spend the next 3 years snorting crack, as long as you get the degree with reasonable grades, it helps on the job market.
Get a job, a shitty job, deposit all the money you get from it to a bank account that your parents have no access to, take out a loan (not from parents), get your higher education, get a job that pays at least 250k $ a year and when your dad's broke because your mom spent all their money on plastic surgery, tell him to go fuck himself.

I know you mention plastic surgery, but that can be misleading as it could be less than a thousand dollars. Should probably clarify that, if you even know.

I always notice all of the beer cans and other alcoholic beverages. So, he has a fun time keeping a lot of his money.
The main plastic surgery job was about $10,000, and now she is getting smaller $600 jobs for her face every month. This is when we barely have any food, or a working refrigerator.
I was already accepted into taking the highest courses that I was allowed to take in my school for 10th grade. I wasn't allowed to take college courses, because they didn't offer it.
It is bullshit that he lets her spend money on plastic surgery, yet doesn't give you tuition. I'd tell them what you think, always good to speak the truth to parents in situations like these.
I don't get what's preventing you from getting a higher education. Take out a student loan and take whatever job you can. All you can do is try your best now and look heavily into financial aid and what you can do instead of what your parents won't do.
My parents screwed me out of my entire college fund that I spent four years of constant working to save, too. Personally, I'm considering joining the Army to help pay for my education - you have to realize that what's done is done and you just have to do the best you can if you want to get out of whatever rut you're in.

You can take college courses at a community college, basically you look at what general classes can transfer to the college you want to go or what can transfer in general and take them.
You can do that over your next summer breaks and be ahead!

He isn't talking about college he is talking about a private school.

But if the plastic surgery doesn't even play into your father's monetary budget, I'd recommend not mentioning it. If he drinks a lot of beer, he probably suffers from a bit of depression, which would be understandable if your family had a monetary problem in the past. Should probably talk to him about that.
Also, if you are taking the highest courses allowed, and are taking college courses, then in fact you are already receiving a higher education than probably 80% of public school children (if not more) at the 10th grade level. What is there to complain about!?

Well, changing your story now, eh? At that case, its really cheap at community colleges (like valnar said) and is infinitely better than saying you went to a snobby private school. It shows you take initiative rather than rely on your parents.
You all need to understand that I'm accepted into the school. I simply need my parents to pay for it. I don't have time to get a job and try and pay for it myself. I have about three weeks to get this money. My parents say that I'm not allowed to get a loan, either.
Also, I'm not actually taking college courses. I thought you mean't Advanced Placement courses, tinhead.
Your parents are the people I hate with a passion. I really wish you the best of luck in your future education.
I feel that I should say that my mother doesn't have a job, and she is trying to divorce with my father, and take about $20,000 with her, as well.

These type of things are way I don't instantly think "poor sap" when I read these threads. Your dad is most likely suffering from depression, and I bet they've talked a bit about this over a period of time extending into the past. Its easy to see why 10k might be a big deal if your mother is trying to take 20k, and your father is suffering from multiple stress factors. Why not just try to help them out instead of feeling bitter toward them?
Get a job and put yourself to school, that is what thousands of people do. 10 grand is a lot of money, so get a job. And don't say you don't have time to get a job, there is always time. If you can't go at least you will have money to go to college or university.
I would never waste my time with some boarding school shit unless you're trying to get in the worlds top colleges. Most colleges/universities will take you just if you have good grades.
Stop trying to play off a sob story when it is likely you're being a stuck up sob. "waaah my parents didn't give me 10 grand, they're assholes and the world is going to end"

They spend all of the money that they get on themselves, and they don't listen to me.

I am planning on applying to top colleges, with my higher education, of course.

I actually worked for my acceptance in to the school. They were the ones that told me to work hard and try to get into the schools in the first place. My father has the money. It's no problem for him.

Look at that mobile phone and the mirror frame. 80k per year.
They spend all of the money that they get on themselves, and they don't listen to me.
Why should they? They make the money, not you.
Let me ask you these things..
Do they provide you with shelter (a home to live in)
Do they provide you food
Do they provide you with clothing
Do they provide you with random gifts/toys and things to entertain yourself
It is highly likely that the answers is going to be yes for all of these. They have things to focus other then just you (Sounds assholish, but sometimes you just got to suck it up.), it isn't like your helping pay bills, utilities, and various other things. Sure you shouldn't have to at that age i guess, but don't try to play off your parents as assholes when they provide you everything.
It is usually the ones you spoil and give everything that act terribly towards their own parents.
It seems you need to blow up.
really, if you start getting tired of it freak out and yell at them. tell your mom to stop fucking with her face cause its going to look like shit when her life is over anyway
and tell your dad to stop being a selfish cunt and take all his beer away or something

Did you read any of the thread, he said that that his father barely spends any money on food and they don't have a working refrigerator and if thats so I can only imagine that they don't buy him pretty much anything else.
Confront your parents about why you're not allowed to go to a school simply because of "money issues".
America man.
Definitely confront them. Whether it helps or not, at least you get that off your chest.
Bring up your percentile, your grades, and your potential.

Agreed but he said he was top of the class so that should be all the reason for his parents to pay for tuition. On top of that if OP had his own job, I bet his parents would feel more comfortable giving money for tuition, or maybe not.
But yes you are absolutely right, their parents gave him birth, and food and probably Nintendo back in the day and what-not. But plastic surgery while having a husband? That's America alright.
How can she care more about her appearance than her son's education?
I expect your dad probably has problems that's making him depressed as said above, which is understandable. But your mum sounds like a money-grabber.
Do they provide you with shelter (a home to live in)
It's my grandmothers.
Do they provide you food

Do they provide you with clothing
Every year or so.
Do they provide you with random gifts/toys and things to entertain yourself
No.
It is usually the ones you spoil and give everything that act terribly towards their own parents.
Not all parents deserve respect. They have to earn it. Most of them don't.
Did you read any of the thread, he said that that his father barely spends any money on food and they don't have a working refrigerator and if thats so I can only imagine that they don't buy him pretty much anything else.
I believe some of these "facts" are over-exaggerated. Not saying it can't be true, but I find it extremely hard to believe.
They spend all of the money that they get on themselves, and they don't listen to me.
I don't have the time. High school doesn't last forever.
It is just high school bud, it isn't like you got other obligations. School only takes up a small part of the day, get a part time job or something. Hundreds of students do that, they manage to get money for school. Just suck it up and accept you can't get in to boarding school, or make an attempt to go. But sitting and crying about mummy and daddy being mean money whores isn't going to do anything.
They spend all of the money that they get on themselves, and they don't listen to me.

I actually worked for my acceptance in to the school. They were the ones that told me to work hard and try to get into the schools in the first place. My father has the money. It's no problem for him.
Your a teen, all of them say that.
I worked 20 hour weeks as a cashier while taking college courses and attending high school for 7 hour days my junior year. I promise you it is doable, so don't make the argument that you can't. The only restriction may be age, but even that can be overcome.
Higher education is post-HS education. Not boarding schools and the like. And a fancy Harvard degree is nice, but if you are good at what you do, you can easily get just as much recognition by going to a decent uni in your state.
If only money is the only issue. You keep ignoring when I say this, but from what you describe, your father is suffering from some form of depression. Confront him about it and see what can be done. Some times we humans just need someone to talk to.
It's my grandmothers.
If my father gives my mother the money on time, yes.
Every year or so.
No.
This would be true. If I was spoiled, that is.
Still got shelter though.
Again, confront him about his issues.
Honestly, once a year is probably the same for a lot of kids.
Your on FP how? Sounds like an entertainment device to me.
I'd like to think your not spoiled, but you sure seem sarcastic in some of your other posts I looked at. That is a common trait of spoiled kids, but you could just chalk that up to being around spoiled kids and adopting that trait.
Agreed but he said he was top of the class so that should be all the reason for his parents to pay for tuition. On top of that if OP had his own job, I bet his parents would feel more comfortable giving money for tuition, or maybe not.

Don't be so quick to jump on America, every country has people that put silly things like that ahead of those they care about. That happens in every country, it's just publicized more in America for the continuity of a stereotype.
Or I'm wrong, and I'm one of the few who would put my kids ahead of my skank wife.
I'm currently in a job over the summer (part-time) that will pay a little below 3k.
This thread is why inaccurate thread titles are bad.
OP, a higher education means college level education beyond secondary education.
You describe wanting to go into a private high school not applying to a college, not going to a private school won't nearly hurt you as much as you think it will especially if you are currently doing as well as you say you are.
What kind of parents is that. Selfish.
