I hope they go back to old dice poker and fistfighting. Also the inventory in TW2 was bad. Also why did they make it so you had to meditate to drink potions? Am I supposed to preemptively know what I'm going to fight and drink the potions beforehand?
Very excited for this game. Open world and tweaked combat system was pretty much what TW2 needed to become god-tier. My favorite thing about the series is how the game world is really fleshed out. I suspect it might partly have the novels to thank for it. The writing is superb, the graphics are quite unique and stylized in its own special way. I liked the soundtrack of the first Witcher game more than the TW2 OST, but judging by the trailers I get the impression they're returning to a sound somewhat similar to the first game.
One thing I've loved about the witcher games is the art direction. It has the right balance between authenticity and fantasy, it's pretty unique.
I find the authenticity part is more limited to the Witcher 2, which has an amazing gritty renaissance art direction, but the Witcher doesn't really have quite as consistent of a style.
