How long does it take to port one of the parks? Are you doing it just by ripping all the assets from the other games and putting in lighting/collision and all that, or is there a way to just port the entire levels from the other games to THUG 2? I'd love to see Zoo again.

Tony Hawk and Battlefield were the main games I would play from 10 PM to 8 AM on weekends.
Doing those tricks looks so easy.
:(
You can get thug2 here snip

I wonder if new skater options are possible. THUG 2 already re-uses some from 3 on, but I think it would be neat to have the Koala from 4 and shit.
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
Is it possible to add special skaters? (Ollie the Bum, etc.)
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
Oh I looked it up, you currently can't. You THUG2 modders should get Xentax forums to take a look at the .SKA format (or more specifically mariokart64n), they might be able to fiddle with it.
Downloaded the standalone installer and Google Chrome blocked it for being "malicious"

Launching the game does nothing either, just opens it and stays on a black screen
i just ordered a copy of THUG2 PC due to this thread
i have every game for PS2 but only a few people still play on the thps.us servers
I try to launch it, it gets to a a loading screen and then crashes to desktop, no clue why
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
figured it out, it was my old saves i believe, removed them and it is working now

Is this legal?
I honestly didn't like THUG2 for some reason.
THUG1 though, man, those were the days.
I think I beat that game like, what, 40 or so times?

I like THUG1 for the content and story, but I like THUG2's overall refinements and unique mix of story and old-school. Although for some reason, the PC version of 2 doesn't show mission timers for me.
does anyone have a good control layout i could use on my ps3 controller?
or will kb+m suffice

Good control layout? What exactly do you mean by that?
i have no idea what to set the controls to on the launcher
i have no idea what to set the controls to on the launcher
Well, I used the old launcher to change it
I go with the original controls (sort of, L2 and R2 register as the same button sadly)
X=Jump
O=Grab trick
[]=flip trick
/\= Grind
L1= Nollie/spin left
R1= Revert/spin right
L2/R2= Get off board (since the Lower triggers both register as the same one, might be because of my controller handler)
R3= Focus
Dpad= Controls
Rstick=Park specific controls
Lstick=Camera controls
Edit: If the L2/R2 triggers work for you then I suggest switching Nollie and Revert to L2 and R2 (and set get off board to either L1 or R1)
Oh god I remember playing this years ago on a friends PS2 at their house until midnight.
Good times. I should buy this and pick up a ps2 controller too.
Is there a way to avoid the inevitable crashing?
This game blue screened me :v:

I made a thread in GGD for better access http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1348421&p=43535532#post43535532
Did Matt Hoffman 2 ever get released on PC? That one has some cool levels.
It probably would be really easy to mod your own music in.
it's easy, i've done it before
it just takes a really long time (20-30 minutes per song) and a whole bunch of bink software
Remember playing THUG2 online a super long time ago.
There were only brazilians. :v:
they also got some mods here: http://thps-mods.com/mods.php
damn I lucked out, I got THUG2 brand new in box still sealed for $9.99 not including shipping.
most of the used ones on amazon/ebay still go for $15-25, i guess this guy didn't know what he had

In a store not far away from me I could buy a copy for 5€. Dirt cheap and worth it. I've lost my old copy so I guess I gonna buy it again.
So is anyone up to organize a FP event?
According to the reddit thread, the developer stated that THAW's engine is much harder to mod.
Which sucks butt because in my order of "recent" favorites:
THAW, THUG1, THUG2
[editline]16th January 2014[/editline]
I like THUG1 for the content and story,
Which is why I didn't like THUG2 upon release. It was a huge disappointment in that regard.
but I like THUG2's overall refinements
Freak-out meter.
Best feature of any game ever.
and unique mix of story and old-school.
They pulled the old-school off, because doing stupid physics-breaking tricks is still amazing.
Although for some reason, the PC version of 2 doesn't show mission timers for me.
Yeah, it seems to be a little broken.
Like, that bug you get if you try to enter Focus with Vista or above with the vanilla game
Oh man, just found this. I have THPS4-THAW on my Gamecube. Guess I'll be looking for the PC version of THUG 2.
Black screens on launch for me

yeah 5 euro is about $7 so that's really not too much of a price difference lol
seriously go buy it though, excellent game
Can't wait for a fix on those crashes :v:
Man, I have Tony Hawk nostalgia. Dug out my PS2 and played through them all again.
R.I.P. good Tony Hawk games.
Project 8 and later, would you kindly hand me the shovel?
