Done. Good luck!
Did it.
Thanks again for the many responses I've gotten so far! I've entered the last month of time I have before I need to defend and things may get a little stressful, so your good luck wishes are really encouraging. Keep sharing this around - I'll be working on my paper and the other large parts of my project in the meantime.
Did this survey a while ago and also shared with some of my friends on Discord. Hopefully this gets your papers more interesting founds :v
Survey done. Just finished my masters this last year, so I totally understand the final push stresses. Stressful leads to successful I think, because you actually care. Just make sure you take a little time here and there for yourself, even just an hour for lunch and an hour before bed to drink some tea or something. It really helps keep things under control mentally if you have some time set where you are not allowed to work on it and try not to think about it. Good luck, work hard, and soon you will be done.
I did it. Good luck!
Happy to help with your degree!
We're currently at 275 responses, which is awesome. Things have slowed down a little bit so I figured I'd follow up with some content. Keep sharing this and filling it out if you haven't already <3 For those of you that are curious of how the simple demographics currently look from a quick glance (no analysis, just Google's handy summaries), here you go. I'm procrastinating a little so I won't post all of it, and my observations are just meant to be comedic. Most of you are male youngin's that correctly read "sex" and not "gender". At any rate, sad to see our population of Attack and Apache Helicopters are underrepresented though. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/e6e3cd40a5f1c7cdbe51acd4e450ff99.png[/thumb] Most of you are from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, ~50% students. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/91a7b6df34009cd91642cbece3b4ed86.png[/thumb] Most of you are in/finished with highschool and college. Sorry for the US-specific school system. All of those tiny 1% responses are due to that :( [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/0304b617b284bbd88f3586b75cc373f0.png[/thumb] Stay y'ur little 'earts, ya'll's playin' vidya games! [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/49afb044399f65c2421eff4c66b00250.png[/thumb] There is absolutely no shortage of PC gamers here. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/fe22865f79ec174336acb115ced57429.png[/thumb] You have a shitload of games and play a shitload of hours. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/5788508c36ae78bd867b436a57d7f355.png[/thumb] Lots of online PC gamers in both co-op and competitive. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/4db3667dae2d6f974fca6cc0d1ec1949.png[/thumb] Most of you guys have 0 to 100 friends, a majority between 11 to 60. [thumb]https://i.gyazo.com/0f54afaaf31aa23033128539ee1bbdf2.png[/thumb] I'll follow up with other stuff later. Should get back to working on stuff though. Thanks for following along!
Kind of an odd comment and a bit of feedback; I feel like one thing this survey could've included is a few questions about people's social habits/ability outside of the online world of video games. Since there are people that I know who have trouble making online friends due to social anxieties that persist in both their offline and online lives. And you could've included questions about online accounts privacy settings, such as playing in "offline mode" (which on Steam makes it harder for people to search you, and harder for you to find players after a random match together) versus having a very public profile. Of course, these are just suggestions which may not be relevant to what you are researching and defending for your study. Either way, the survey was very well organized, good luck on the project!

You are correct in your last statement - I am focusing on a specific aspect, so that other information wouldn't help me in this current study.
Done. Nothing from the psychological part would really help you? Not really talking about how someone interacts or what does he/she expect from others when searching friends, more like personal habits before or during playtime. Not directly useful for this case maybe, but both are correlated at one point.

While I'm certainly not going to discount the worth of obtaining such data, its usefulness would be rather limited for a small independent study like mine. If I were doing a full thesis, or more so a dissertation, then this data might be more pertinent. Also, if I had more time than I currently do. Thanks for the discussion!
Got you covered bud.
Submitted, Love seeing the results to these kinds of things hope it all goes well!
I did it, good luck on your degree!
