Brofist In ways I prefer the second too. :>
I think A Fistful of Dollars is better then both, and that For a Few Dollars More is the weakest in the series, but still a damn good movie.
I used to say it's the greatest trilogy for progressing in goodness. Now I'm rethinking some stuff. But it definitely expands each time. [editline]6th June 2012[/editline] As sequels, they never deviate from expanding on the original concept. So good.
I hated black Hawk Down. Well not hated, but I didn't like it at all. Everyone looked the same (No, not the Africans you racist). The soldiers all had the same haircuts, were all covered in dirt, and wore the exact same thing. This meant I couldn't tell who was who during the entire movie and developed absolutely no connection with the characters. At several points I would see someone die, then be confused to see then alive and well in the very next scene. Also there is barely any plot. It's half an hour of build up, then an hour and a half of people shooting. Just people shooting and explosions. I know it's based on true events and they couldn't change that much, but goddamn at least do something to keep me interested.
I didn't like Fight Club.
I have never watched a movie and not liked it.
I have never watched a movie and not liked it.
I have never finished a movie I did not like.
If you choose to see a movie, watch it.
sometimes it's hard to finish one, though
I never finished Full Metal Jacket.
I never finished Full Metal Jacket.
The first half was the only part worth watching, though, so I understand.
I've never had the patience to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey.
One of my favorite movies is Twister I prefer Aliens over Alien, but Alien is pretty good too I've never seen LOTR The Road bored the shit out of me I don't think the Star Wars prequels are terrible, just inferior to the original trilogy I was never scared during The Shining I found Jack and Jill funny I cry at the end of Titanic The Hunger Games was pretty entertaining apart from the Parkinson's-fueled cinematography The only Marvel universe movie I've seen is Captain America I've never seen Jurassic Park My favorite actor is Bill Paxton I'm sorry
sometimes it's hard to finish one, though
That's why it's a challenge. If you don't want challenge, don't watch movies like you've chosen.
I saw Alien for the first time last weekend. [sp]It wasn't nearly as scary as I remember, mostly because I knew every single scare.[/sp] I have to say though, it is a BRILLIANT movie in the way it builds suspense. For example, the first time they're looking for the Alien, [sp]right before Brett dies, it's really the cat in the locker. Later on, Ripley goes to find the cat. You hear something pitter across the floor. Logic dictates that, last time, they were looking for the Alien and found the cat, so now she's looking for the cat and will find the Alien. There's a big jump scare and.... it's still the cat.[/sp] Brilliant. I'd say Alien and Aliens are perfectly equal. Alien is much scarier and more experimental. Aliens, while more traditional, is a ton of fun to watch and expands the universe into something much more. Not to mention the technical aspect, I love all that special effects shit. But yeah, I STILL haven't seen Prometheus, which I really gotta get on.
What?
Basically, I've seen all the MAJOR scenes, but I haven't seen the entire movie in one sitting.
Never seen any of the Alien movies aside from Prometheus, which I loved to death. I know that it's barely a prequel, but it makes me want to watch the original 2 movies. I've been told to stay away from Alien[sub][sub]3[/sub][/sub] from several reliable sources, as well as the fourth one.
you can watch alien 3, just make sure it's the assembly cut. don't touch resurrection or avp.
AvP is mind-numbingly stupid, but it's a harmless kinda stupid, in that it's got some fun moments. The sequel is far far beyond such redemption.
Basically, I've seen all the MAJOR scenes, but I haven't seen the entire movie in one sitting.
what's the point
what's the point
It's kinda like watching an on-ride video of a rollercoaster; you know basically what happens, but it doesn't amount to the actual experience. The tension, the characters, the diologue; it's all fantastic and I'm glad I saw the whole thing.
I enjoyed Spider-Man 3

I don't care that you did, but just stating the fact.
What you did sir, was ruin the movie for yourself. I don't care that you did, but just stating the fact.
I ruined the suspense (which would have happened anyway, considering I saw Aliens first), but everything else was thoroughly enjoyable. [editline]11th June 2012[/editline] It's kinda like James Bond; British secret agent kills bad guys, escapes from death traps, and bangs hot women. But knowing this doesn't mean you still shouldn't watch Goldfinger.
AvP is mind-numbingly stupid, but it's a harmless kinda stupid, in that it's got some fun moments.
The sequel has the gore the first one should have had but the problem is it's just a just generic teen horror flick with crappy CGI xenomorphs and a predator
Actually, the design of the monsters was probably the ONLY good thing about AVP-R. Problem is the lighting was so shitty you'd only know if you saw production stills or behind-the-scenes footage.

I can't see the picture, what movie did you love?
There was a mulan 2? what.
Robocop was and still is one of the greatest man movie's ever. I have seen The Blues Brothers over 200 times and can recite the whole thing from heart. I've never seen "the never ending story" or a harry potter film. I thought Predators was a better sequal to Predator then Predator 2. I am fucking stunned at how many people in this thread have never seen Alein/Aliens yet have the audacity to be part of my species.
Ive tried on several occasions to watch Godfather and have fallen asleep no matter what time of day or how much sleep ive gotten withing the first half hour. It bores the fuck out of me and i watch documentaries for fun. Godfather just is a genuinely boring movie to me. Id rather watch Goodfella's
