Ok I might add some depth to the ceiling. I thought about it when I was making it, but then I got lazy and just half-assed it :v:
Why did it take so long?
because i came up with the building on the fly, never made a building before, and procrastinated like fuck. like literally, i modeled it for about an hour a day for a week, then an half an hour a week for like a few weeks. then just kinda stopped. then started texturing, getting one texture added per every few days. then i took an extended break, and finally past few days pulled it all together and got shit done. [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline] i should add that i dont allow myself to work on more then one project at a time (good idea or no?)(at least i get shit done, eventually), so this was all i would do modeling wise.
i should add that i dont allow myself to work on more then one project at a time (good idea or no?)(at least i get shit done, eventually), so this was all i would do modeling wise.
I always work on 2-3 projects at the same time. That way if I get bored of one, I can switch and do another one. Otherwise I just get bored of one project and there is no other one to work on :v:
Hm, working on multiple projects is good to fight procrastination when you don't have a deadline I guess
hmm i guess maybe next time ill try working on two projects. for now im already coming up with a new idea
How would I go about animating a car wheel so that it's constantly spinning? (3DSMax) I guess I could do it with reactor, right?
You could do it with maxscript too.
Just animate one spinning cycle and duplicate it if you need the same speed all the time.
Animate a single cycle over the time you want it to make a full revolution, then use the Out-Of-Range type to have 3DS Max copy this animation over and over, and keep it spinning for the rest. You can do this in the curve editor.
I would recommend making a basic rig for the wheels as well seeing as animating the models themselves is rather silly.
does out of range work when you set up an object with reactor? Never tried it. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] nvm it would be useless seeing as it would have to be a static object.
Well, I can't really explain what the fuck this is supposed to be. v:v:v Let's call it "What you shouldn't use FumeFX for." (SFW, media tagged for being an APNG)
looks awesome, love the volumetric ligthing
Gif version for people using chrome would be nice.
Chrome doesn't support APNG yet? Oh well, here you go: The quality isn't very different in this case. [editline]o[/editline] Eh, media tags don't work with .gif?

Your school used be a copper mine refinery? Creepy.
Your school used be a copper mine refinery? Creepy.
Maybe it's a mining school or something.
Maybe it's a mining school or something.
No, the building has many different education sectors. Such as graphics design, printing and games. Not everyone go to school in an old copper mine. :smug:
