what renderer did you use? i want to say mental ray. [editline]11th December 2010[/editline]
Used Vray 1.5 ;) And for the textures; http://www.evermotion.org/modelshop/show_products/0
Haven't posted here in quite some time, just got done with a new model :kiddo: [img_thumb]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/5c0a2egentleman.png[/img_thumb]
I remember trying to hep with the UVs on that guy. Couldn't really get anything fixed though. How'd it work out?
The material looks like car paint, not like a billiards ball.
That's because the render is noisy as fuck
That's because the render is noisy as fuck
No, the render has no noise.
No, the render has no noise.
Yes it does. Look at ground or places that are more affected by dof, obvious noise.
I remember trying to hep with the UVs on that guy. Couldn't really get anything fixed though. How'd it work out?
I left it alone

What the hell is that?
Yes it does. Look at ground or places that are more affected by dof, obvious noise.
You mean the post grain? [editline]12th December 2010[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/9435/fisheye101.jpg[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/9435/fisheye101.jpg[img_thumb]http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/9435/fisheye101.jpg[img_thumb]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/JRGEN%7E1/LOKALE%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://img684.imageshack.us/i/fisheye101.jpg/[/img_thumb]
Nice chromatic aberration.
You mean the post grain?
I suppose. It looks ugly and creates a carpaint flake effect
[img_thumb]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs41/f/2009/038/5/b/Sackboy_by_ottothecat2005.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.deviantart.com/download/166597148/Sackboy_with_PS3_Remake_by_ottothecat2005.png[/img_thumb]
:emo:

The video game name generator came up with this. :v:
Wooah, awesome :D I really liked the afterburn effect used in thejets (It is afterburn, right?) The model looks good too. And the title combined with the picture made me laugh :D Great work!

floor texture is grainy and repeats. did you make those pillars yourself? they look good for a first time [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] also the light line in the middle annoys me
[img_thumb]http://i52.tinypic.com/fymioi.png[/img_thumb] The video game name generator came up with this. :v:
3D text rarely works. Do you recall a single dvd cover that has 3D text set in the scene that looks good?
The scale of the neck is wrong. On my guitar the ratio of the biggest fret to smallest fret is 5:2 but on yours it is only 5:1. This isn't exactly accurate seeing as they are two different guitars but it gives you a rough idea of how off it is. while some guitars are on a 23.5" scale and some on a 25" scale they are all relatively similar. If you want to get really exact here is a quick cheat sheet for a 24.625" fret scale. [img_thumb]http://www.mylespaul.com/gallery/data/500/medium/Fret_Scale_Comparison.jpg[/img_thumb]
Hmm, I didn't know mine was so smaller than a real one. Thanks for the info, but I don't think i'll fix this atm, only if some friend request me to do a new one. Anyway, again, thanks for the info. And it was wrong because I don't know guitars so well, so I just tried to model one using a reference.
I thought this was the coolest thing ever. The guy was worried that the infrared patterns would interfere but it looks great.
that's awesome. Just think if you had like 15 Kinect cameras you could probably get a really amazing scene.
that's awesome. Just think if you had like 15 Kinect cameras you could probably get a really amazing scene.
Though if you look at the amount of noise from just 2 cameras, 15 would probably fuck shit up
Though if you look at the amount of noise from just 2 cameras, 15 would probably fuck shit up
The noise is there with 1 camera as well, the camera isn't made for to be so accurate that you can scan models with it.
The most you could do with kinect is use the scanned model as a base to remodel it, that's about it.
The noise is there with 1 camera as well, the camera isn't made for to be so accurate that you can scan models with it.
yeah but the noise is far worse in the video with 2 cameras, especially on flat surfaces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QrnwoO1-8A
[HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP94DynmdWo[/HD] Another krakatoa test and this time it sparkles. :allears:
A sideways nuke made out of vampires? Looks cool.
A sideways nuke made out of vampires? Looks cool.
Twilight bomb.
