Okay. I think the bottom render is better, because it has better shadows & lighting. How do I fix the 0xc000007b error when I launch 3ds max 2011 (either version.) I've reinstalled it and restarted my pc multiple times to no avail. Ahahahah, it's because they were both installed to the same place. I expected it to be smart enough to make a folder inside the dir I installed it with 32 and 64 bit versions, I was disappoint. Ah well, at least I know how to fix it.
Made a new avatar. Just some displacement noise. Nothing too fancy. I just wanted a new avatar, and was terribly bored. :buddy:
That's pretty neat, what did you use to make it?
Started working on some basic sidewalk models for my UDK project.
finally finished this render, Not the final. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fyxT3SbOr0[/hd]
I made this in Hammer, it's actually 9 pictures of 9 different map files GIF'd together. I also posted it in the Mapping section. [editline] [/editline] Also this is my 333th post!
New avatar, Got the awesome idea from sweetswifter, Except added my own touches.
Looks good Wingless. :buddy: Yay for ambigious wobblyblobs.

It's basically a perfect circle on the stand / floor.
Vray 2.0 up and running! Just playing with the dispersion, it's awesome! Also GPU accelerated RT.
The meniscus and the stretched texture gave it away. :(
The meniscus and the stretched texture gave it away. :(
What stretched texture? If you mean the top part of the glass, that same thing can happen in real life as well.
It does, but it doesn't look quite right :s.
It does, but it doesn't look quite right :s.
I've seen this effect in real life as well, and i asked myself this very same question.
vray2 has a lot of problems like slow speed and stuff compared to 1.5. Can't wait for updates
Does anyone here have any experience with getting external renderers to work with Blender on a Linux OS? On Ubuntu, I've only gotten Yafaray to work, but it goes terribly slow. Indigo works fine, but the Blendigo exporter doesn't.
Vray 2.0 up and running! Just playing with the dispersion, it's awesome! Also GPU accelerated RT.
My GPU render is actually slower than CPU render. Might have something to do with my crappy old graphic card.
vray2 has a lot of problems like slow speed and stuff compared to 1.5. Can't wait for updates
I found that my old scenes rendered a lot slower with v2 than 1.5. Hope this will get fixed in a hotfix. (Btw, the 2.00.02 update fixed a lot of bugs, incase you didn't see it.)
