No, it's way too shiny and plasticy, the material still looks like plastic stone replica. Make it very hard, sharp and have the edges scratched a bit.
The normal map is less apparent in-game. It didn't turn out like that, I posted the video of it on that page somewhere. That picture brightened my bad rendering of it. Thanks, though.
It's part of a logo-thing that I'm making. [editline]04:59PM[/editline] Kinda Jpeg raped it though...
uh I'm assuming you have eyes; just about every shape is wrong
you should really learn that cars come in a lot of versions
Meh, might turn into a nice wallpaper.
Ground looks awesome
uh I'm assuming you have eyes; just about every shape is wrong
Shut up he did good.
Meh, might turn into a nice wallpaper.
That awesome man, Nice work. Now Render it in 1680x1050 and I will love you.
No, render it in 1920x1080. [editline]07:35PM[/editline] Just the CG bit of a logo. Took longer to render than it did to make.
uh I'm assuming you have eyes; just about every shape is wrong
I don't see how unless you're talking about milimetres, because I used specifications and blueprints. You're not being helpful at all about this. If you're talking about components such as air vents then that's beacuse you're looking at different types of cars in every picture you showed. I need to understand where you're coming from because else I can't change much at all.
The normal map is less apparent in-game. It didn't turn out like that, I posted the video of it on that page somewhere. That picture brightened my bad rendering of it. Thanks, though.
How's it look ingame, then?
I always see these really simple models which look absolutely uber with good textures, so I started trying to get the hang of textures too. Here is my first try.
Well, sir, that is indeed a low poly model that looks fantastic because of the textures.
The lips have no definition whatsoever, you shouldn't be playing with normal maps if your basic geometry is still way off. Also, it looks wrong in general somehow.
Yeah, I kinda got ahead of myself on that one. But at least now I know the workflow between Zbrush and 3Ds, and that's kinda important for my ongoing learning curve. ;)

Planet, i know that the lens flare doesn't match the angle of the light.
Looks amazing! edit: Some AA would be nice on top of the planet tho.
The clouds look strange, almost like a heightmap, but otherwise it is pretty cool.
Loving my new little render setup I've been using.
That awesome man, Nice work. Now Render it in 1680x1050 and I will love you.
I'm rendering a closeup version now (like the preview image), as I think it looked kind of better. I don't like how the ground turned out here.

made a WWII bomb! The tail is a bit off I know

That's a goddamn photo. I don't care what you say.

Ajacks, could you record a tutorial of your texturing workflow? And a wireframe of those models would be kickin'rad too.

A wine glass made in Blender (first ever model and material work) The glass material is really bad, I know. And if I ever do this again, I'll probably try to make it smoother, but this has taken me about an hour and a half because I kept messing little things up that took me forever to figure out how to fix. The problem with 3Ds Max just closing is related to the material I used on the ground somehow. Though, I haven't given up on that golfball just yet. [editline]12:45AM[/editline]

Well yeah, makes sense. The image you quoted doesn't have displacement though. Just bump.
