First normal bake of this arm is a moderate success yay. There's still a lot to fix like the fingertip seams and the space between the fingers. And the nails are too big. Oh and ignore the polycount of max, I have the high poly hidden. It's ~920 polys or about 1700 tris. [img]http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/741/wip001.jpg[/img]

The umm, uh, what are they called again, tendons? The tendons in his hands that connect to his fingers from his muscles are too defined, those don't look like that unless you are a starving Ethiopian or making a claw shape. Wouldn't you be able to see more stars from space anyway?[/QUOTE] For the atmosphere, try duplicating the sphere of the earth, remove all textures, increase size by something barely visible like 2%, then put a falloff (fresnel) map in both self illum and opacity and in the falloff play with noise maps til it looks like a fuzzy glowy ring around the globe. Or you could make the atmosphere sphere transparent with some 'smoke' in it (i only know what it's called in VRAY materials) like smoked glass so when the sun is behind it the plante gets a halo around it.

I need a little break from working on the Chinook so i decided to model other stuff i need for my little project, But like you may have noticed the Chinook is the first ever thing i modeled in Max (Or any other modeling program) But how would i go on making quite a big building that uses somewhat this pattern.
