nVidia could you render some smoke for me by chance? I have tracking data.
I would but i don't think i have the time.
Still a work in progress Based on an image by the artist Dan luvisi (http://www.danluvisiart.com/showcase.html) (1st image) I know its not an exact copy... but some things just didnt add up when modeling :P
Am I looking at a some kind of high-caliber guitar? :v:
Am I looking at a some kind of high-caliber guitar? :v:
Kind of what i was going for, so i hope so :D
argh. The only thing that stops me from modelling a lot is that I'll start modelling something, then I'll just get to a part that I don't know how to make, I don't know how to recreate that part using 3dsmax, so I'll try, fail, and give up. It's usually just basic geometry stuff as well. It feels like I've done every tutorial on the planet and I don't seem to be getting better at modelling, worse if anything, I look back at my old models in admiration, at least back then I could churn out a full model. What the hell is wrong with me?
Hey guys, I have a question. I'm using Blender to Model and Cinema 4D to apply the Materials. Should I use another program to render?
Hey guys, I have a question. I'm using Blender to Model and Cinema 4D to apply the Materials. If you're looking for suggestions, mental ray and Vray are both very good. Also if you have a killer computer and want to output some really nice looking renders, look into maxwell render.

I also wanna know how I make my Renders look so fucking good. Do you have any illumination tip?
A cup I made. I call it "Futile attempt to become tired 1". :v:
It looks like a coffee cup... Damn you were tired.
Didn't even cross my mind. Great job subconsciousness :v:
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/cupofteaDOFJPEG.jpg[/img_thumb]
The Dof is a bit close, move it a bit more.
Some progress on the bowl of oranges:
VERY pleased with these, it's a shame that the trial of C4D only renders in 640x480.
Thanks for the advice. I also wanna know how I make my Renders look so fucking good. Do you have any illumination tip?
Vrayforc4d is very good. So is finalRender. AR (Cinema4d's standard renderer) is very powerful, aswell. Both have a very different way of doing things so make sure you know what you use before you start.
VERY pleased with these, it's a shame that the trial of C4D only renders in 640x480.
The inner edges look too sharp. You'd cut your fingers in those.
The inner edges look too sharp. You'd cut your fingers in those.
Agreed, also a more interesting environment/light setup would produce much better reflections.
The inner edges look too sharp. You'd cut your fingers in those.
You'd cut what?
Trying really hard to keep these low poly. Can I get some C&C please, because I'm not really happy with them. I've changed them a bit so they look better from above (because they're gonna be seen from above) so they're now 310 polys.
I added some grass. Too bad hair & fur doesn't work with Vray, so I had to make it with scatter instead. I kinda like the outcome, but still does look kinda empty. If I add any more duplications with scatter Vray crashes on render, which is sad..
Texture stretching on that rock.
-snip- Rate me late.
Someone already posted that.
Texture stretching on that rock.
Stretching is only on the rock to the lower left right? Yeah I notice that too. I just don't really know how to UV unwrap it otherwise. I tried pelting it all at once except some polygons you can't see from this angle. Anyone got a suggestion on how to unwrap it?
A mailbox. Simple stuff comes fast. What can I make better on it?
The Dof is a bit close, move it a bit more.
Yeah, I noticed that  First time I'm using Dof though :v: Thanks though [editline]10:10PM[/editline]
A mailbox. Can't be bothered with this anymore, may aswell dump it. It looks alright without my bad dof.
